About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and maintain our data analytics platform. You will be responsible for developing scalable data pipelines with Zero-ETL approach, ensuring high-quality and reliable data and enabling analytics across the organisation. You will work closely with Data Analysts and business stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions while driving improvements in architecture, performance and operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable Zero-ETL pipeline.
  • Build, optimise and maintain data models in Amazon Redshift.
  • Develop and manage workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow.
  • Integrate data from multiple internal and external data sources.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, consistency and availability across the platform.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve data platform issues from identification through root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Optimise SQL queries, data processing jobs and warehouse performance.
  • Design data models that support reporting and analytical use cases.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts to deliver reliable datasets for reporting and business intelligence.
  • Improve data architecture, automation, monitoring and engineering best practices.
  • Maintain documentation for pipelines, data models and platform architecture.
  • Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions and code reviews.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS data services, including Amazon Redshift and Amazon RDS.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Apache Airflow workflows.
  • Strong understanding of ETL design and implementation.
  • Experience designing scalable data warehouse solutions and data models.
  • Ability to independently investigate and resolve complex production issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
