Job description

 

 

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager (UK and Ireland), to join our team.  This position will provide the territory and account responsibilities required to plan, manage, supervise, and coordinate the activities related to the sale and promotion of products and services of the business, and the implementation of the commercial strategy. This includes identifying new business opportunities and developing the customer base, contributing to the development of new market strategies, maintaining existing accounts, increasing order intake, enhancing associated margins, and advising and guiding the business using the most effective use of resources to meet the territory’s growth goals. Account management capability and a hunter’s ability to win new business is necessary for success.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and Propose the Targets and Strategies:

  • Determine the targets, products, or services to launch, maintain, or discontinue, as well as adapt the pricing policy in line with business objectives.
  • Participate in the development of the sales budget and identify strategies to achieve it.
  • Propose, implement, and monitor the Marketing actions of the business within the region.
  • Generate new sales opportunities.

 Lead and Implement the Sales and Marketing Activities:

  • Manage the sales activities of the assigned region.
  • Manage the customer experience and expectations.
  • Ensure the adequacy of sales activities related to objectives.
  • Lead negotiations within contract frameworks in support of the business objectives.
  • Prospect and retain strategic accounts.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve success.
  • Manage and support the distribution partners in the assigned territory (if applicable).
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other events necessary to develop markets, gain customer base, and achieve business objectives.

Continuous Improvement and Teamwork:

  • Conduct ongoing and sustainable actions to improve processes within areas of responsibility.
  • Propose improvements and work with the team to share ideas.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments regarding product innovation demand.
  • Assist coworkers in solving problems.
  • Plan and participate in team training activities as required.

 

WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a business or engineering-related field, equivalent degree recognized through Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales engineer position in Europe,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and similar software.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and business performance.
  • Must demonstrate excellent internal and external communication skills and strong customer focus; must be able to negotiate and persuade.
  • Must be able to work well within a team or independently and demonstrate initiative to drive results
  • Strong technical understanding and experience working with OEMs are required.
  • Knowledge of brush and brushless DC motors, gearmotors, electronic drives, linear actuators, and related components is a plus
  • Fluency (written & oral) in English is required, fluency in additional applicable languages a plus.

 

ADDITIONAL COMPENTENCIES: 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills & inter-cultural openness with a global team
  • Excellent working knowledge of engineering and sales principles.
  • Must have the ability to explain complex concepts in a concise manner
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally; frequent overnight stays as the needs of the customers in the territory dictate; Expected travel requirement will be about 50%
