This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build their experience in estimating and tender support within the construction and fabrication industry, gaining exposure to architectural metalwork projects and end-to-end tendering processes.

Our client is a well-established architectural metal fabrication company within the construction industry specializes in delivering custom-designed metalwork solutions. The company provides end-to-end services including design, fabrication, and installation of architectural components such as balustrades, perforated panels, louvers, sunscreens, bollards, and decorative screens. It is supported by a multidisciplinary team of professionals including project managers, estimators, drafts people, fabricators, and installation specialists, operating from a fully equipped manufacturing facility. The company works with a range of materials including stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, and brass, and is experienced in handling projects of varying size and complexity for commercial construction clients. It is committed to precision, quality craftsmanship, and consistently delivering high standards across all project requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As an Estimating/Tender Support Coordinator, you will be responsible in supporting the estimating team by conducting material take-offs, quantity measurements, and bill of quantities from architectural drawings, preparing tender submissions, and coordinating supplier RFQs for pricing. The role also involves assisting in scope reviews, document control, and fast-paced tender delivery for commercial aluminium and steel fabrication projects, with the ability to handle multiple bids and support accurate, timely cost estimates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Material take-offs from architectural drawings.
  • Quantity measuring.
  • Tender preparation support.
  • Supplier RFQ preparation.
  • Scope reviews and document control.
  • Assisting estimating team with submissions.
  • High-volume workload management, handling multiple tenders simultaneously (approximately 20–30 projects per month)
  • Fast turnaround execution, supporting urgent and time-sensitive tender submissions
  • Daily coordination with suppliers for pricing inputs and commercial clarification
  • Focus on commercial project types such as faΓ§ade systems, aluminium works, and architectural metal components (louvers, handrails, etc.)
  • Application of prior industry experience (not training-heavy role), requiring strong baseline knowledge in construction estimating
  • Progressive involvement in end-to-end estimating support with potential pathway toward full estimator responsibilities
  • Contribution to output efficiency and tender performance metrics (volume, consistency, and commercial accuracy)

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying, or related technical roles.
  • Experience in construction, fit-out, glass, faΓ§ade, or architectural/metal fabrication industries.
  • Strong background in quantity take-offs and preparation of material estimates (residential or commercial projects acceptable).
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam (primary requirement) with working knowledge of AutoCAD (acceptable alternative).
  • Strong skills in Excel for estimating, measurements, and cost analysis.
  • Experience working with tendering, cost planning, and construction documentation.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills.
