Job description

daydream specializes in developing organic growth programs tailored for B2B technology leaders, including Clay, Replit, and Beautiful.ai. Having partnered with fourteen billion-dollar enterprises and 12% of the Forbes AI 50, we solve the critical challenge of optimizing visibility across search engines and AI assistants.

To fuel this mission, we have secured $21M in total funding, highlighted by a recent $15M Series A round spearheaded by WndrCo, alongside participation from First Round Capital and Basis Set Ventures.

The Position. You own up to 10 client relationships end-to-end. Strategy, execution, renewal: all of it is yours. You decide what gets built on each account and why, and nothing reaches a client without your sign-off. A production team handles briefs, decks, and data, so you are not the one building them.

Core Responsibilities

  • The plan for each account and the reasoning behind it

  • The quality gate on every deliverable

  • Growth on your book, e.g., commercial-intent visibility, conversions, and revenue impact

  • Commitment dates you set yourself and hold

  • Your own schedule and priority order across the book, including the weeks one account is on fire

The judgment is what makes the rest of it work. Output has gotten cheap and fast, and cheap and fast does not mean right. The scarce skill is reading a confident, well-formatted recommendation and telling whether it actually solves the client's problem. That is the call you are accountable for making every day, and most of the time it is the whole job.

The Benefits. Your own book and the authority to run it. Nobody sits between you and the client, and nobody re-decides your strategy after you've set it. The production team absorbs the assembly work most SEO jobs bury you in, so your week goes to thinking.

Candidate Profile

  • You've owned organic growth programs for B2B tech companies end to end, agency or in-house, on accounts where you were the person the client called.

  • You've carried several of them at the same time. Running one program deeply builds a different muscle than running eight in parallel, and this seat needs the second one.

  • You hold your own schedule. When one account escalates, you know what to move and what to protect, and you can say no to the client in front of you so the other nine don't pay for it.

  • You've been wrong about a strategy, and you know how you found out. Most people who can do this have been at it seven years or more, though we care about the reps rather than the date on your resume.

  • You can be the only person on the call.

  • You have the confidence to reject a flawed recommendation, even when it is well presented.

What We Don't Need. Prior experience with our internal stack. We can train you on tools in a week. We can't teach the judgment required to use them.

Career Path & Seniority. This is a role designed for senior practitioners, and it does not lead to a traditional people-management track. Growth in this seat is realized through the scope and complexity of the portfolio you command, your influence over our operational framework, and compensation that is tied directly to both. If your career goal is managing people rather than honing your expertise as a practitioner, we want to be upfront that daydream is not the right fit.

Interview Structure. Our interview process consists of four calls and a single work sample evaluation. There are no take-home assignments or interview preparations required. The work sample is a 45-minute live exercise conducted alongside our team. We are happy to adjust the timing or format if you require specific accommodations.

Operational Details. We are fully distributed; our entire division has worked remotely since April 2026, operating with core collaboration hours between 9 AM and 2 PM Pacific Time. We provide comprehensive health insurance, fund your home office installation, and supply monthly stipends for internet, coworking spaces, and meals, alongside annual credits for professional development and fitness.
