Summary

The Business Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the business development team in identifying growth opportunities, managing client relationships, and executing strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Vice-President, Business Development, Sweet Goods & Private Label, this role involves coordinating various projects, conducting market research, and assisting in the development of proposals and presentations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of business development projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct research on market trends, competitor analysis, and customer insights to support strategic decision-making and identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and assist in the development of proposals, presentations, and other materials for client meetings and pitches.
  • Support the business development team in managing client relationships, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and following up on action items.
  • Maintain and update the CRM system with client information, sales activities, and progress on business development initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing key findings, sales performance, and strategic recommendations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the business development team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing team events.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and product development teams to ensure alignment on business development strategies and initiatives.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business development, sales, or marketing support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM.
  • Basic analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights that inform decisions.
