What you'll do:

In this role, you will provide robust and efficient financial analysis and support to ANTS Management. This person will partner with the ANTS finance team to deliver a high quality, responsive and commercially focused financial management function, leveraging shared services across the wider Finance organisation. You will deliver high quality, timely and insightful reporting, analysis and business partnering. You will support the ANTs businesses in decision making  through strategic and tactical business insights, including the development of business cases and financial analysis. This person will also ensure the financial operations of the business are aligned with the wider group, leveraging synergies and enabling seamless collaboration.

The day-to-day:

Monthly Reporting and Forecasting:  

  • Take ownership in delivering across the four key pillars of Planning, Reporting, Controlling and Analysis. Work closely with central Finance and  ANTS business to ensure the upstream and downstream processes work appropriately such that the financial data and reporting required to deliver these four areas can be easily obtained and relied upon.
  • Support the ANTS finance team to ensure that the financial and operational results of  the business are provided to the management team on an accurate and timely basis together with concise, action-oriented and business-focused commentary. 
  • Support the ANTS finance team to prepare a, high-quality full year forecast that reflects all relevant material issues, opportunities and business plans.
  • Support the development and implementation of BI requirements related to ANTS   operations, working closely with the Insights, Analytics & Reporting team (IAR) and other Group finance functions.

 Operational and Business Planning (Budget & 5 year plan): Support the ANTS finance team to prepare a high quality full year budget and 5 year plan that reflects all relevant material issues, opportunities and business plans relevant to the wider ANTs business. Ensure the Plan is consistent with the strategic goals and delivers the results required by the business and Group. 

 

Adhoc financial analysis: Support the ANTS finance team to provide ad hoc financial and operational analysis and advice to support ANTS leadership and their direct reports in making high-quality strategic and operational decisions.  

 

Business partnering: Act as a business partner with business stakeholders to proactively deliver high-quality, commercially-focused financial advice in support of ANTS’ goals and performance. 

What you'll need:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance with professional accounting qualification or equivalent. 
  • Experience: 8-10+ years progressive experience in accounting, financial modelling and analysis within quality companies.  
  • Superior analytical skills coupled with good strategic business understanding leading to key business insight.  
  • Creative problem solver and decision maker. 
  • Ability to draw high quality analysis out of the results that drive decisions in the business. 
  • Strong people skills, confident and comfortable at engaging collaboratively in an intellectual and multinational environment at all levels. Strong verbal and written communications skills.  
  • Technically strong, and influential with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels. 
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a passion for excellence and innovation. 
  • Proactive individual with the ability to effectively manage various projects while adhering to deadlines. 
  • Strong understanding of best practice financial accounting standards, policies, processes and ability to apply these to commercial transactions 
  • Ability to work across cultures and time zones. 
What will help you on the job:
  • Relevant industry experience including a working knowledge of Satcom, Telco or IoT market dynamics is good but not essential. 
  • Experience of SAP, Tableau and Hyperion systems an advantage.
