JOB SUMMARY

The Talent Partner is a limited-term role that serves as a key business partner in achieving Emergent’s talent acquisition objectives, with primary focus on full-cycle recruiting and hiring support. The Talent Partner works closely with hiring managers and site/functional leadership to drive an efficient, high-quality selection process while delivering a strong candidate experience. This role manages a high volume of requisitions across multiple business units and is responsible for intake and qualification of hiring needs, sourcing and pipeline development, candidate screening and assessment, and coordination through selection and offer. The Talent Partner partners with HRBPs, Total Rewards/Compensation, and other HR team members as needed to develop competitive offers, make compensation recommendations, and support offer negotiation. In addition, the Talent Partner helps implement and continuously improve recruiting programs, processes, tools, and reporting to ensure timely hiring outcomes and alignment to the company’s employment brand and culture.

  • Serve as a strategic partner, working closely with hiring leaders and HR to ensure a consistent, comprehensive, effective, and efficient approach to talent acquisition.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruiting process and related systems for a high volume of requisitions across multiple functions.
  • Conduct intake and qualification of hiring needs (role requirements, critical capabilities, sourcing approach, and selection process) and develop recruiting strategies and plans for open positions.
  • Develop creative sourcing solutions for hard-to-fill positions and build talent pipelines using multiple sourcing channels.
  • Educate hiring managers on recruiting responsibilities, processes, and technology, and coach stakeholders on best practices to support a strong candidate experience.
  • Source, screen, schedule, interview, evaluate, and present qualified candidates; facilitate interview logistics and support selection decisions.
  • Partner with business leaders to confirm role competencies align with business needs; proactively identify gaps and make recommendations to strengthen candidate slates and selection outcomes.
  • Partner with HRBPs, Total Rewards/Compensation, and other HR team members to develop competitive offers, make compensation recommendations, and support offer negotiation.
  • Support and advance diversity initiatives within recruitment, with focus on presenting diverse candidate pools and mitigating bias throughout the selection process.
  • Develop and maintain recruiting best practices; continuously update approaches based on recruiting trends, market conditions, and business needs.
  • Ensure recruiting activities are conducted within legal parameters and regulations and in accordance with internal policies; maintain accurate documentation and dispositioning in recruiting systems.
  • Participate in the Affirmative Action Planning process, including proper disposition coding, diverse candidate pool efforts, and manager training support.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of progressive, full lifecycle corporate recruiting experience
  • Extensive experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and maintaining accurate candidate documentation and dispositions
  • Strong sourcing capabilities for both passive and active candidates
  • Experience partnering with and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Experience recruiting in the biopharmaceutical/life sciences industry, including specialty roles (e.g., Manufacturing/Operations, Quality, Engineering, MSAT, Supply Chain, Technical Operations, Regulatory, Validation) and familiarity with regulated (GxP) environments preferred
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, consult, and influence hiring leaders
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to a high-quality candidate experience
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with high expectations in an ever-changing environment
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and recruiting compliance practices

U.S. Base Pay Ranges and Benefits Information

The estimated annual base salary as a new hire for this position ranges from $89,000 to $107,600. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.  Certain roles are eligible for additional incentive compensation, including merit increases, annual bonus, [and/or long-term incentives in the form of stock options.]
