Duties:
  1. Coordinate social media content engagement across multiple platforms
    1. Assist in producing and curating graphics, videos, and written content specific to each platform and audience to maximize engagement and grow Joni and Friends audiences
    2. Post written responses/outreach across multiple digital and social media platforms
    3. Assist in responding to comments on paid digital ads
  2. Monitor social media channels
    1. Monitor channels and actively report and remove spam comments and accounts
    2. Engage in daily constituent conversations to facilitate audience care and growth
  3. Monitor trends in social media tools, channels, design, and strategy
    1. Recommend creative opportunities for engagement, including campaigns and collaborations
    2. Assist in identifying trends, influencers, and other collaboration opportunities for potential ministry engagement
  4. Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and ministry needs
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
  • Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
  • 2+ years of experience in a digital marketing, social media, or communications role
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Good interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines
  • Understanding of social media best practices using data to inform decisions; ability to write compelling and empathetic copy across digital channels
  • Experience creating social media graphics, video, and written content; experience managing accounts on behalf of an organization or public figure preferred
  • Commitment to accuracy with a strong sense of confidentialty
  • Working competencies in MS 0365, Asana, or similar project management tools, social media platforms, and video creation tools
  • Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
Physical Requirements:
This position primarily involves sedentary work in an office setting. The employee must be able to sit for extended periods, operate a computer and other standard office equipment, communicate clearly in person and over the phone, and occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach to access files and supplies. The role may also require occasionally lifting or carrying items up to 20 pounds.
Work is performed in a professional office setting with occasional movement throughout the facility. The environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise level, with standard lighting and temperature conditions. Employees are expected to maintain safety and ergonomic awareness while performing all tasks.

This temporary position will go through approximately the end of November, and it is a full-time role. This is a hybrid position, working in our Agoura Hills office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; and working remotely on Wednesday and Friday.  

Compensation for this position will be between $23.50 - $24.50 per hour.
