This is a fully remote position. However, we are seeking candidates that are currently based near and can collaborate with the following Thermo Fisher sites: Madison, WI or Tewksbury, MA. Unfortunately, relocation assistance is NOT provided.

Position Summary

The Environmental and Process Monitoring (EPM) Business Unit within the Analytical Instruments Group is a global leader in the development of air quality and process monitoring solutions that help ensure worker safety, cleaner air, regulatory compliance, and increased customer productivity.

To support ambitious growth over the next several years, the Product Management team is driving a range of strategic initiatives, including new product development, sales enablement, strategic partnerships, and continuous process improvements. We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented Product Marketing Specialist to help execute these initiatives and contribute to the continued success of our business.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Research & Development, Sales, Service, Finance, Manufacturing, and Marketing, both in the U.S. and globally, to support the growth and commercialization of our product portfolio. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your product marketing expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills while building a strong foundation for future growth into a Product Management role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of market research projects including market sizing, competitive analysis and customer segmentation, and present findings with recommendations.
  • Lead preparation of VOC activities (surveys, interviews, analysis), and summarize customer insights for integration into product roadmaps.
  • Develop business cases, presentations, and dashboards that support strategy discussions and portfolio planning.
  • Support the execution of annual marketing and product plans, contributing independently to assigned initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure timely execution of key projects.
  • Execute commercialization processes for new products, pricing promotions, and financial strategies

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Finance or related field with 5 years of related experience
  • Experience in product management and/or marketing leadership experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with the analytical and/or industrial instrumentation industry preferred.
  • Prior experience with air quality and process gas instrumentation is beneficial.
  • Experience working in a global environment preferred.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and achieve results in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Basic financial and business acumen preferred.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
