VicRoads is progressing too. In August 2022, we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.

We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead marketing outcomes and drive commercial growth for one of VicRoads' most dynamic portfolios. As Marketing Manager, you'll be at the forefront of driving customer adoption, commercial growth and market engagement across Business Plates and a range of products and services that support Victorian motorists and businesses.

Working in a highly visible role, you'll partner closely with Product, Sales and senior business leaders to identify growth opportunities, shape customer strategies and lead initiatives from strategy through to delivery. From developing compelling go-to-market plans and demand generation programs to influencing customer behaviour and digital adoption, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on both customer outcomes and business performance.

Given the strong connection to the automotive ecosystem, experience within the automotive sector will be highly regarded, particularly across OEMs, fleet management, automotive retail, dealership networks or related mobility and transport services. This experience will provide valuable insight into customer needs, market dynamics and commercial growth opportunities across the Victorian motoring landscape.

About You

You're a commercially driven marketing leader who thrives on creating growth opportunities, turning strategy into action and leading and developing team members. You have a strong track record of developing and delivering go-to-market strategies that drive customer acquisition, engagement and commercial success across complex products, services or portfolios.

You enjoy working at the intersection of Marketing, Product and Sales, bringing people together to solve problems, unlock opportunities and deliver results. Confident influencing senior stakeholders, you're comfortable operating autonomously, navigating ambiguity, balancing competing priorities and making evidence-based decisions using customer, behavioural and performance insights.

Experience in the automotive sector is highly regarded, particularly with OEMs, fleet organisations, dealership groups, automotive retail businesses or adjacent industries where customer acquisition, retention and commercial growth are key drivers of success.

Most importantly, you're highly collaborative, outcome-focused and motivated by delivering meaningful business impact in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Experience and Capabilities

  • Developing and delivering successful go-to-market strategies.

  • Driving demand generation, customer acquisition and growth.

  • Partnering with Sales teams to improve pipeline and conversion.

  • Using data and insights to inform strategy and investment decisions.

  • Experience within the automotive sector is highly regarded, including exposure to OEMs, fleet management, automotive retail, dealership networks or related mobility and transport industries.
