Job description

Position Scope:
The Adoption Change Management Lead will focus on the support and execution of Adoption Change Management (ACM) initiatives managed within the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) and corresponding programs. This resource will collaborate with all areas of the business to develop and implement change management strategies and plans which maximize employee adoption and usage of required changes by mitigating people-related risks, supporting employees, and increasing change adoption.
 
The Adoption Change Mazement Lead reports directly into the EPMO ACM Senior Manager. Potential projects on which this resource might provide ACM leadership include software-development and infrastructure, integrations, business systems, transformation, continuous improvement, contract compliance, and security initiatives.
 
This resource must have knowledge of training and communications strategies and best practices. This resource should also have intermediate knowledge in multiple business operational functions, such as information technology, human resources, finance, global supply chains, compliance, and other processes to support projects that include mergers and acquisition integrations, continuous improvement, and enterprise transformation.
 
Responsibilities:

  1. ACM Initiative Governance and Compliance: Adhere to ACM frameworks, processes, procedures, and templates within initiatives, ensuring compliance with ACM methodologies, standards, and best practices.
  2. ACM Initiative Planning and Execution: Independently lead the planning of ACM initiatives following the established ACM methodology.
  3. Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage project stakeholders, including functional leads and subject matter experts. Analyze stakeholder groups for impacts, benefits and risks of change. Establish effective communication channels, manage stakeholder expectations, build strong relationships with stakeholders and engage stakeholders in two-way communication.
  4. Risk and Issue Management: Partner with project managers, sponsors and stakeholders to perform assessments on projects that evaluate risk, change impact, change readiness and stakeholders. Identify, assess, and mitigate people-related risks and issues throughout the project life cycle. Develop risk mitigation strategies to overcome challenges, reduce resistance and increase adoption.
  5. Project Management Support: Understand project management frameworks and how the project management discipline assesses the complexity and degree of technical change, focuses on the tasks and activities required to create and implement technical solutions and measures success based on schedule, budget, and scope.
  6. Training Management: Support and establish training efforts for ACM initiatives by providing training insight and options to project leads, documenting requirements, and designing and delivering training programs. Evaluate training programs and proactively identify opportunities for increased engagement and learning.
  7. Quality and Performance Management: Ensure adherence to ACM processes and procedures throughout initiatives. Create actionable deliverables according to the core change management plans: Sponsor Plan, People Manager Plan, Communications Plan, Training Plan. Support the inclusion of key ACM milestones into project plans. Ensure appropriate reviews are held with the team and key stakeholders of ACM deliverables and get signoffs/approvals as necessary.
  8. Communications Management: Provide and facilitate excellent/robust verbal and written communications for a variety of audiences. Provide presentations to audiences. Enable the design, development, delivery and management of key communications to sponsors, stakeholders and end users.
  9. Performs other related duties as required.
 
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Psychology or equivalent). Advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
  • A solid understanding of Prosci change management methodologies and best practices. Certification highly recommended.
  • 4-8 years' experience working as a change manager on several types of change projects. Experience working with projects such as technology, organizational and integration changes and/or working with large, complex projects a plus.
  • Must be a current U.S. citizen; may require security clearances on select projects to perform certain duties as needed.
  • Solid organizational and analysis skills are exemplified through strong written and verbal communication skills, time management capabilities and critical thinking aptitude.
  • Demonstrated track record of leadership of ACM initiatives on projects to support adoption, change and business outcomes.
  • Strong analytic, problem-solving and root-cause identification skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to empathize and understand varied perspectives of different audiences. Ability to present complex changes to a non-technical or lay audience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Industry-specific knowledge and experience related to the organization's projects are preferred.
  • Basic understanding of project management approaches, tools and phases of the project life cycle.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, with PowerPoint required and SharePoint, Visio, and MS Project a plus.
 
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
 
  • Normal office environment.
  • On occasion, work extended hours (other than normal business hours) to support contractual requirements to meet customer needs
  • Must possess planning/organizing skills
  • Must be able to work under deadlines
  • This position is remote. Occasional travel may be required.
