What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Engineering Leader (Crew Tech Lead), you'll lead the technology strategy, architecture, and engineering outcomes for a critical product, platform, and customer journey. You'll guide high-performing engineering teams, shape technical roadmaps, drive modern engineering practices, and work closely with product and business leaders to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be a senior member of our leadership team with end‑to‑end architectural accountability for complex, front‑to‑back transaction platforms as we scale our AI‑powered and real‑time engineering capabilities.
As a hands‑on technologist, you will:
Lead the design and evolution of low‑latency transaction platforms across trading, pricing, risk, post‑trade and reporting.
Own technical direction and transformation roadmaps.
Design and govern high‑throughput, distributed systems across the full trading and transaction lifecycle.
Accelerate delivery through simplification, automation, reusable patterns and modern DevSecOps.
Embed AI and agentic workflows across engineering, testing, operations and incident management.
Define target‑state architectures using event‑driven design, modern data platforms and intelligent automation
Mentor engineers and uplift technical standards, capability and leadership across the organisation.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
Are highly experienced senior leadership technologists with engineering expertise in mission critical, real-time distributed systems, and who understand the full lifecycle of financial transactions (from pricing and execution through clearing and settlement), and how market structure, liquidity, and regulatory frameworks shape system design.
Balance hands-on technical delivery with the art of influencing executive stakeholders’ decision making with clarity, credibility, and strategic thinking.
Enjoy lifting engineering performance and throughput in complex environments.
Bring practical experience embedding AI, automation and emerging agentic technologies.
Are passionate about developing and mentoring senior engineers, raising technical standards, and shaping the next generation of engineering leaders.
Champion performance engineering, resilience patterns, and controls-by-design from the first line of code.
