Job purpose


The Account Representative function exists to seek, grow, and maintain the customer base for IMMY’s product offerings in Upper Midwest Territory. This position will be located within the territory and carries out responsibilities pertinent to qualifying customer leads from tradeshows, site visits, cold calls, and online inquiries, educate them about IMMY’s products, and move them through the sales pipeline to ultimately create a lifelong customer. The Account Representatives work closely with the technical specialist, the customer service specialists, the marketing team, and reports to the Director of Sales.


Key duties and responsibilities


Essential duties of an IMMY Account Representative include:

  • Closing accounts, congruent with defined monthly, quarterly and/or annual goals that ensure mutually beneficial satisfaction for the customer and for IMMY
  • Calling prospective customers to drive leads through the sales pipeline
  • Responding in a timely manner to requests for information, orders and other requests from customers about any of IMMY’s product offerings or related items
  • Having a working, technical knowledge of the diseases IMMY tests for and the tests themselves, so as to engage in technical discussions with potential clients, customers and others
  • Remaining knowledgeable and up-to-date with changes and developments in the medical diagnostic industry, as well as with fungal diseases and our customer base around the world
  • Recommending changes of products, services, and policy by evaluating the results from our products and based on customer feedback
  • Accurate recordkeeping of the sales opportunity progress in SalesForce, ERP and/or other database or CRM
  • Traveling to tradeshows and site visits showcasing IMMY’s product offering among fellow vendors and labs, representing the company at a variety of sales and marketing events
  • Maintaining relationships with lab managers and lead technicians to create raving fans of IMMY’s tests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree. Business (Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Finance) or Life Science (Biology, Botany and Chemistry) degree preferred.
  • Comfortable making cold calls
  • Understanding of SalesForce, ERP platforms and/or other CRM software
  • Exceptional relational and communication skills
  • Punctuality and professionalism
  • Medical sales, laboratory background, or understanding of the industry preferred

This role is a remote position but requires that the employee live within the territory. IMMY's Midwest territory includes the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
