SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Systems Administrator Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our defense and federal customers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring secure, reliable, and standardized workstation and mobile device environments that enable users to perform critical mission tasks without interruption.
  • Lead the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of personal computers, mobile devices, and related IT equipment to maintain high system availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues, and support classified, unclassified, and special communications networks.
  • Drive the deployment and maintenance of standardized desktop and mobile configurations, including operating systems, patches, and COTS/GOTS applications, to meet customer and security requirements.
  • Utilize Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Active Directory, and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to test, build, and deploy images and mobile solutions based on customer needs.
  • Act as an interface between internal and external customers, including requesting vendor hardware quotes and resolving incidents to support end-user productivity.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Administrator Senior must have:
  • Education: Technical training, relevant certification(s), or an IT-related degree.
  • Experience: 3+ years of related experience in systems administration, desktop engineering, or mobile device management.

  • Technical skills:
    • Experience with MS Windows 10 or later.
    • Linux, Android, iOS, and macOS experience.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Configuration and management of mobile devices (Android / iOS tablets and phones).
    • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including Operating System Deployment (OSD).
    • Experience with Mobile Device Management solutions (e.g., MobileIron, Intune, Meraki).
    • Experience with VPN technologies.

  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI required

  • US citizenship required: US Citizenship required

  • Role requirements:
    • DoD 8570 compliant for IAT Level II (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
    • Strong communication skills, including effective listening, tact, and follow-through.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to track changes across multiple environments.
    • Solid troubleshooting skills for hardware, peripherals, and software issues.
    • Ability to work onsite or in customer-designated locations as required.

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $97,865. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
