ROLE TITLE: Manager, Email Marketing Coordinator 

POSITION REPORTS TO: SMD, Digital Marketing

LOCATION: Flexible/Remote 


 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

We are looking for a Manager, Email Marketing Coordinator to support our marketing efforts, primarily  through email automation and development, to nurture new audience members and strengthen affinity  among existing audiences. This is a production focused role in creating pre-designed emails in our email  marketing platform. This role may also assist in website, sms, and other in other digital channels in  service of supporting execution of omni-channel marketing tactics. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in marketing and/or technology, have used email marketing tools, and be an eager learner and teammate, ready to jump in, gain new skills, and flex to provide  support where it’s needed most. 


 

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 

Email Development (70%) 

  • Use technical knowledge and expertise of our email marketing software, Microsoft Dynamics  Customer Insights, to translate approved email designs into emails that render well across a  variety of email clients and devices. 
  • Support the deployment of successful email and lifecycle marketing campaigns through  compiling segmented marketing lists, completing quality assurance checks, configuring  deployment journeys and other tasks as assigned. 
  • Provide insights and recommendations for completed email campaigns through data-driven  analysis and knowledge of industry best practices.  

Enterprise Support (15%) 

  • Support email marketing platform users throughout the organization through capacity  building, troubleshooting support, and request queue management. 

Additional Digital Marketing Support (15%) 

  • Provide additional execution support to Digital Marketing subteam members in various  marketing software beyond email, such as SMS, web, personalization tools, or other tools.


 

A WEEK IN THE LIFE 

Over the course of a week, the M, Email Marketing will work on a variety of deadline-driven projects,  including:  

  • Building email designs for various campaigns into our email marketing platform, Microsoft  Dynamics Customer Insights 

  • Debugging emails using HTML/CSS during the quality control process and making revisions.  

  • Setting up the deployment of email campaigns, including using Boolean logic to correctly  identify ideal contacts. 

  • Supporting other email marketers across the organization with troubleshooting various projects  via Slack and live office hours. 

  • Generate and analyze analytics from the latest completed email campaigns, creating summary  reports and presenting those findings to the larger marketing team 

  • Learn and grow with hands-on projects in other marketing software and email projects with  progressive complexity.  


 

YOUR EXPERIENCE 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience 

  • At least 2 years of experience working in marketing, technology, or related field • Experience with email marketing tools (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Microsoft  Dynamics, Braze, Iterable, etc.) 

  • Basic CSS, HTML, and programming logic knowledge 

  • Data-orientation and experience with collecting and presenting analytics 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects  simultaneously 

  • Learning-orientation and desire to seek and grow from feedback 

  • Experience training others and providing end-user support 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Customer Insights, preferred 

• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics or another Customer Relationship Platform (CRM), preferred 

• Experience editing content in a CMS, such as Drupal, preferred 

• Experience working in nonprofits or education preferred 


 

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

The Marketing team develops Teach For America’s brand identity, steers its creative execution, and  promotes the brand and TFA programs to target audiences through integrated campaigns. This position  is part of the Digital Marketing sub-team, who creates and leads an integrated digital strategy across  email, mobile, website, and additional digital marketing tools across the Teach For America enterprise. This role aids in the production of creating compelling digital engagement products for various  audiences including prospective program participants, current corps members and alumni, donors, and  other audiences.  


 

YOUR COMPENSATION 

The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is  aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for  the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include  education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. New hires are  typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary  range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. These ranges may be modified in  the future. 

Tier A: $55,700 - $73,100

Tier B: $60,800 - $79,700

Tier C: $65,700 - $86,300
