Job description

As a Junior Product Analyst, you will help shape and improve voluntary homeowners and condominium insurance products. You will work at the intersection of data, product strategy, and execution—analyzing product performance, identifying trends and opportunities, and turning findings into clear insights, requirements, documentation, and coordinated product changes.

This is an early-career opportunity for a curious, motivated analyst who enjoys working with data and asking thoughtful questions. The team can teach the products and industry; the strongest candidates will bring analytical ability, initiative, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in understanding how products are performing and how they can improve.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze product performance, profitability, customer needs, and market trends to identify risks and opportunities.

  • Turn complex data into clear reports, visualizations, and actionable insights for leaders and business partners.

  • Conduct competitive research and support decisions involving product positioning, pricing, rates, forms, and underwriting guidelines.

  • Translate business needs into requirements, user stories, workflows, and product documentation.

  • Support product changes from planning through QA, regulatory filing, release, implementation, and post-launch analysis.

  • Partner with Product Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, Technology, and other teams to deliver improvements.

  • Proactively identify product, reporting, and process gaps and recommend practical solutions.

What You Will Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in any sort of data analysis, product analysis, business analysis, product development, market analysis, or a closely related role.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and intermediate Excel and data visualization.

  • Strong organization, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills

What Would Be Helpful to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics or related field is preferred, but not required.

  • SQL and Power BI skills are a plus!

Why Join This Team

  • Make a visible impact on growing products with significant opportunity for improvement and innovation.

  • Gain broad exposure to the product lifecycle and collaborate with teams across the business.

  • Join a supportive, flexible team with an approachable leader who invests in individual development.

  • Build varied experience and grow toward future opportunities such as Senior Product Analyst or Product Manager.

  • Enjoy the ownership of a startup-style environment backed by Assurant’s stability and resources.

Pay Range:
