Job Overview

Impact Advisors is seeking a dynamic and motivated Clinical Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead clinical workstreams for a large-scale laboratory information system implementation, serving as a subject matter expert bridging laboratory operations and project execution across Sunquest, WellSky, and Oracle Ancillary Products (AP).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, standardized, and effective clinical deployment across project sites and clinical domains
  • Drive alignment between clinical leadership, Oracle Health consultants, and implementation partners
  • Maintain accountability for clinical readiness, decision execution, and issue resolution throughout the program lifecycle
  • Own day-to-day management of assigned clinical workstreams under the project's program structure
  • Ensure clinical deliverables align with approved scope, enterprise standards, and project timelines
  • Actively participate in project governance, including Clinical Council forums and escalation pathways to the Executive Steering Committee
  • Prepare and present clinical status, risks, and decisions required for leadership review
  • Coordinate clinical workflow design, documentation, and validation to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and local operational needs
  • Oversee clinical build readiness, testing coordination, defect triage, and validation activities across modules
  • Ensure appropriate clinical SME engagement and sign-off prior to progression between project phases
  • Collaborate with Organizational Readiness and Training teams to ensure clinical training plans, materials, and schedules meet project requirements
  • Lead clinical readiness assessments and ensure go-live criteria are met across assigned domains
  • Support go-live planning, command center execution, and clinical issue triage
  • Proactively identify, track, and escalate clinical risks and issues in alignment with project escalation protocols
  • Maintain accurate clinical status reporting, RAID logs, and action tracking

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive laboratory operations and/or clinical informatics experience.
  • Clinical Background: Clinical laboratory background required; Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) licensure or equivalent preferred. RN licensure is not required for this role.
  • Laboratory Systems Experience: Hands-on experience with laboratory information systems required; experience with Sunquest, WellSky, or Oracle Ancillary Products (AP) strongly preferred. Candidates with comparable LIS platform experience will also be considered.
  • Project Management Experience: Demonstrated project management experience, including ownership of workstream timelines, deliverables, and governance within a structured implementation or consulting environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications/Licenses: PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other process improvement certification preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Clinical Workflow Expertise: Strong understanding of laboratory operations and clinical workflow design and validation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to drive alignment across clinical leadership, technical consultants, and implementation partners.
  • Governance and Reporting: Comfortable presenting status, risks, and decisions to leadership and steering committee forums.
  • Issue Resolution: Skilled in defect triage, risk/issue tracking (RAID logs), and escalation management.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate clinical needs into system requirements and vice versa.

Additional Information

  • Travel: Travel to project sites required based on project needs.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time; schedule aligned with project go-live and testing milestones, including some evening/weekend support during go-live events.
