With 15 distribution centers strategically located throughout the nation, HF Foods Group aims to supply the increasing demand for Asian American restaurant cuisine.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: 

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing the national sales strategy for HF Foods' edible oil manufacturing business. This role will drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding strategic customer relationships, and increasing market share across foodservice distributors, retailers, restaurant chains, food manufacturers, and other wholesale channels.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in B2B sales, deep relationships within the distribution industry, and a proven track record of selling commodities or other food manufacturing products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Develop and execute a national business development strategy to achieve sales and profitability goals for the oil and vinegar operation.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with broadline distributors, specialty distributors, restaurant chains, retailers, manufacturers, and other strategic accounts.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision makers.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, pricing negotiations, contract execution, and ongoing account management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including operations, purchasing, logistics, customer service, finance, and marketing to ensure successful customer onboarding and long-term account growth.
  • Develop annual sales forecasts, pipelines, and strategic account plans.
  • Monitor commodity markets, competitive activity, and industry trends to identify opportunities and recommend pricing and growth strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, customer meetings, and networking events.
  • Work closely with marketing to develop sales materials, promotional campaigns, and lead generation initiatives.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline activity, customer feedback, and market intelligence.
  • Support private label, contract manufacturing, and exclusive brand opportunities.
  • Travel up to 50% to meet customers and develop new business throughout North America. 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5–10 years of successful B2B sales or business development experience within the foodservice, food manufacturing, retail industry.
  • Existing relationships with food distributors, restaurant chains, buying groups, or national accounts strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and consistently exceed sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and strategic customer relationships.
  • Strong analytical and business planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

 EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
