Job description

Your Challenge

The MNC Sales Director will be based in Dubai and serve as the designated Allianz Trade representative within our fronting partner, ADNIC. In this role, you will drive the growth of Allianz Trade's Multinational business across the UAE,  manage, develop and expand a strategic banking portfolio, strengthen broker and client relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of multinational programs throughout the customer lifecycle.

You will be accountable for delivering ambitious new business growth objectives and contributing significantly to the regional new business budget. Success in this role requires a highly proactive approach to business development, including identifying, prospecting, originating, and converting new business opportunities into profitable growth.

You will be responsible for designing, developing and executing local commercial strategies that support portfolio expansion and profitability, while further strengthening Allianz Trade's presence in the UAE market.

As the primary local contact for ADNIC-related multinational programs, you will ensure high service standards, seamless policy implementation, timely renewals, and strong customer satisfaction.

You will work closely with underwriting, risk, operations, account management, and regional multinational teams to deliver tailored solutions, manage complex multinational programs, and maintain portfolio quality and profitability.

Operating within a highly collaborative and international matrix environment, you will influence and coordinate stakeholders across multiple functions, entities, and geographies

You will also support governance and compliance requirements associated with the ADNIC partnership structure, ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory and operational standards.

In addition, you will identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities, contribute to strategic projects and process improvements, and help strengthen the partnership between Allianz Trade and ADNIC.

The role combines business development, banking portfolio ownership, commercial underwriting responsibilities, and relationship management, requiring a strong commercial mindset and the ability to balance growth with risk and profitability considerations.

You are the ideal candidate if you possess:

Market Knowledge

A strong understanding of the UAE and broader GCC business environment, including multinational corporations, broker distribution channels, banking institutions, and corporate risk management practices. You are able to identify market trends, commercial opportunities, and evolving client needs while building trusted relationships with brokers, corporate clients, banks, and other key market participants.

Business Expertise

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, account management, commercial underwriting, or client relationship management within insurance, trade credit insurance, multinational programs, banking, financial services, or related sectors. Ideally, you have a minimum of three years' experience in a commercial, sales, business development, or account management role.
  • You possess strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and a demonstrated ability to originate, develop, and convert opportunities into profitable growth autonomously. Experience managing strategic portfolios and achieving challenging new business targets is highly valued.
  • You are capable of balancing growth objectives with profitability considerations and can effectively navigate complex multinational business environments.
  • Strong technical expertise is essential, including an understanding of multinational programs, policy implementation processes, portfolio management activities, and collaboration with underwriting, risk, operations, and multinational teams.
  • Experience working within regulated environments and familiarity with governance and compliance requirements would be a distinct advantage.

Interpersonal Skills

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong relationship-building capabilities with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for developing long-term partnerships. Highly organized, proactive, resilient, and results-driven, with a strong ability to identify new opportunities and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You have proven experience working effectively within a matrix organization and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions, entities, and geographies. Fluency in English is essential, and Arabic would be an advantage.

Leadership Behaviour

  • Internally, you collaborate effectively with underwriting, risk, market management, operations, and multinational teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes. You act as a trusted advisor, promote cross-functional collaboration, influence stakeholders across a matrix organization, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational excellence and customer experience.
  • Externally, you build strong relationships with brokers, multinational clients, banking partners, and key market stakeholders. You represent Allianz Trade and ADNIC with credibility, professionalism, and expertise, acting as an ambassador for our multinational proposition in the UAE market while engaging confidently with senior decision-makers and executive stakeholders.
