Job description

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Web/UI designer and Webflow developer who delivers complex web properties independently, mentors junior staff, and contributes to design-system and SEO/GEO discussions in support of Group 1001 member companies (Delaware Life, Wellspring Health, Gainbridge, Clear Spring P&C, RVI Group, and Group 1001 Corporate).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Execution: Produce wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity Figma designs for marketing websites, landing pages, and campaign assets.
  • Webflow Build: Build and maintain Webflow sites that business stakeholders can edit confidently.
  • Developer-Ready Handoff: Prepare organized, developer-ready Figma files when work moves to the engineering team.
  • Design System Contribution: Contribute components, patterns, and refinements to the enterprise design system.
  • SEO/GEO Execution: Implement SEO and GEO best practices on all delivered properties; participate in continuous monitoring.
  • Performance Capture: Implement analytics and KPI tagging on delivered properties.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Run discovery conversations with Marketing stakeholders; translate goals into design solutions.
  • Content Creation: Author and edit copy and visual assets in partnership with Marketing.
  • Mentoring: Coach Web/UI Developers on craft, Webflow patterns, and stakeholder skills.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of professional web design / front-end build experience (guideline)
  • Figma — strong proficiency
  • Webflow — strong proficiency, including CMS and client-handoff
  • Design-system contribution experience
  • Strong typography, layout, interaction, and visual design fundamentals
  • Experience producing developer-ready Figma files
  • Working knowledge of SEO and GEO best practices
  • Experience instrumenting web properties for analytics/BI
  • Content creation experience
  • Requirements-gathering experience with business stakeholders
  • Agile environment experience (Jira, User Stories)
  • Confident, fluent use of AI tools to accelerate design and content work
  • Demonstrated grounding in design and front-end concepts and theory — acquired through formal education, professional training, or equivalent industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Insurance, life/annuity, or financial services marketing domain exposure
  • HTML/CSS/JS proficiency to extend Webflow via custom code
  • Experience with Contentful or other headless CMS platforms
  • WCAG AA accessibility experience
  • Strong tact and diplomacy — directly interfaces with business stakeholders daily
  • Team-oriented and collaborative
  • Strong taste paired with stakeholder empathy
  • Reliable communication on progress, risk, and blockers
  • Mentor mindset toward junior teammatesResults and detail oriented
