Job description

JTX is our trading app, and it runs on the fastest market infrastructure on Solana, which we also built. It’s live today, self-custodial, and native mobile apps are in development.

We’re looking for a Product Designer to focus mainly on JTX, but you’ll also have the chance to help with other Jito products as needed.

We’re a small team and have already found product-market fit. This shapes the way we work:

  • You’ll make real decisions, not just work through a backlog set by others.

  • We release features and learn from real user feedback, rather than getting stuck in endless debates.

  • Attention to detail is essential here. For a trading product, the small things make all the difference.

About the Position

You’ll work on UX and UI for both web and native mobile. Right now, our main challenge is making JTX feel clear and trustworthy at a glance, not just functional. You’ll also help keep things consistent between web and mobile, and pitch in on marketing design when needed.

You’ll work closely with engineering and product to make the most important decisions. If you’ve ever thought about how traders read a screen under pressure and want to create the product layer that makes speed tangible, this could be the right fit for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Design for JTX across web and mobile, including order entry, market data, charts, positions, execution visibility, onboarding, and wallet flows.

  • Take features from defining the problem through UX and final UI.

  • Own and improve the design system and token library that our engineers use.

  • Help with marketing design when needed, like landing pages, social assets, and launch materials.

  • Jump in on design work for other Jito products when the team needs extra help.

  • Release, observe real usage, and keep improving.

Requirements

  • Strong product sense: you can explain why a decision is right, not just that it looks good.

  • You can spot issues with hierarchy and clarity on a busy screen and explain what’s causing them.

  • You’re comfortable working across research, UX, and UI, just like any early-stage product designer needs to.

  • You can work independently and bring the team in on important decisions, but not every single one.

  • You’re a true collaborator who communicates proactively and works well with engineering and product.

  • You’re comfortable giving direct feedback on others’ work and receiving it on your own. Here, critique is quick and specific, never personal.

  • You’re fluent in Figma and comfortable working directly with token-based design systems.

Preferred (not required)

  • Experience designing consumer (B2C) crypto or fintech products, or hands-on experience as a trader.

  • Trading terminals, exchange or brokerage products.

  • Consumer fintech apps at scale.

  • Data-dense or real-time interfaces, such as dashboards, analytics, or live data visualization.

  • Self-custodial wallets, Solana or EVM products.

  • Experience building or maintaining a token-based design system.
