In this role the Lead Engineer will actively be involved in structural analysis of Landing System Components.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing structural analysis of aircraft components and assemblies while working as a part of integrated team.
  • Structural Analysis includes calculation of loads, static analysis and fatigue analysis.
  • Evaluate structural integrity of aircraft components using Classical Analysis and Finite Element Analysis.
  • Generate documentation to report the analysis results to support certification.
  • Able to take ownership and handle the project with minimum dependency.
  • Be a team player with an ability to communicate with cross functional teams, SBU and exhibit the go-getter type of attitude.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
  •  4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in structural analysis of Metallic aircraft components and assemblies.
  • Experience with calculation of Loads, Static & Fatigue analysis.
  • Experience in Finite Elements Analysis Tools (Abaqus preferred).
  • Hands on experience in design software (CATIA V5).
  • Robust understanding of engineering fundamentals such as Material properties, Free Body Diagrams, Loads & Analysis methods.
  • Strong Academic background with knowledge of Aerospace Domain.
  • Good understanding of Strength of Material, Engineering Drawing and Manufacturing Process.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs
or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
