About the Role:

Being customer obsessed and data driven is what drives this role. We’re looking for individuals who can empathize with users, and work towards making their everyday lives easier. If you’re analytical, detail-oriented, and organized, but also excited to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, you’d fit right in. The role will require rotational working hours to ensure smooth operational running of the 24/7/365 real-time set up, and collaboration with a global team. This role directly powers a critical live customer-facing product safety product, which forms the foundation for multiple other safety features. You would be the expert at risk identification, for all our customers using our safety products. You would also work closely with the Research & Development teams, to power our in-house Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models, by generating high quality training datasets. This requires an understanding of data requirements, data definitions, edge-cases, tooling and review processes. In addition to that, you would also work closely with the Product team to run proof of concepts and experiments, which guide the direction of our Safety product suite, particularly in the areas of risk identification, mitigation, and reduction. You would also contribute toward analyzing data to improve the user experience for our customers. You’ll work a regular five‑day schedule, including day, evening and/or overnight and weekend shifts as part of a rotation. Overnight (11pm - 7am for example) shifts include enhanced compensation where applicable.

What You'll Do:
  • Review and analyze live videos captured by Motive's dashcam for risk identification, based on the known risk factors combined with the contextual knowledge which would vary from case to case.
  • Adhere to the established guidelines and protocols for annotation to ensure consistency and reliability of data.
  • Ensure timely delivery of accurate data as per SLAs.
  • Consistently strive to enhance the annotation procedures and play a role in shaping the team's best practices through active participation.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in taking on new responsibilities beyond the scope of the defined job description, showcasing a proactive and versatile approach to work.
What We're Looking For:
  • Preferably, a Bachelors in Computer Science, IT, Management or related field.
  • Detail oriented and organized, with a growth mindset.
  • Thinks, designs and executes keeping customers at the center of the solution.
  • Interested in learning about the annotation landscape and application of AI/ML in the trucking industry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, in a 24/7/365 set up, with strong context in between them.
  • The position requires working day, evening and overnight shifts and weekends, while maintaining a standard five-day work week overall.
  • Good communication skills, oral and written.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and tools, and switch context in between them.

Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace is one of Motive's core values. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives.
