Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Health Records (EHR) Data Quality Analyst to support healthcare data integration, validation, reporting, and technical operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with EHR systems, healthcare data exchange, SQL, SAS, ETL processes, and data quality management. This role requires close collaboration with technical teams and clinical stakeholders to ensure reliable, accurate, and high-performing healthcare data solutions.

  • Healthcare Data & EHR Systems: 5+ years of experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR), healthcare data exchange, and data quality processes.
  • Effective Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: 5+ years of experience communicating technical and business information to healthcare providers, business users, and cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: 5+ years of experience with healthcare data systems, SQL, SAS, ETL processes, and digital platforms.
  • Relationship Building: 5+ years of experience collaborating with providers, business partners, technical teams, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: 3+ years of experience gathering, analyzing, validating, and reporting healthcare data to support business and operational objectives.
  • Organization & Adaptability: 3+ years of experience managing multiple priorities while adapting to evolving technical and business requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of data validation, data transformation, and healthcare interoperability.
  • Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting complex data issues.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the technical infrastructure for NC HIEA and SAS platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, and optimal system performance.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve the stability and performance of healthcare data exchange systems and related applications.
  • Manage and coordinate production change requests, defect resolution, system enhancements, and release activities.
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to support data validation, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Verify data extracts and monitor ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate business and operational reports using internal and external healthcare data sources.
  • Utilize SQL, SAS, and InterSystems HealthShare tools for data exploration, analysis, and reporting.
  • Lead technical analysis efforts involving Electronic Health Records (EHR) data integration and interoperability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with data architects, developers, business analysts, clinical stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, system reliability, and successful project delivery.
  • Identify data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support ongoing system enhancements and contribute to continuous process improvements for healthcare data management.

Must-Have Skills

  • 10+ years of IT experience with healthcare data and EHR systems.
  • Strong SQL development and complex query writing.
  • Hands-on experience with SAS.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data validation, and data transformation.
  • Knowledge of InterSystems HealthShare or similar healthcare interoperability platforms.
  • Experience supporting healthcare data exchange systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
