Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for an Application Analyst –Medical Device Integration & Surgical Applications - Intermediate to join our team! This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN

Under general direction, the Application Analyst – Intermediate is responsible for the implementation, support, maintenance, optimization, and integration of clinical and perioperative applications within the healthcare environment. This role serves as a liaison between Information Technology, clinical operations, nursing, perioperative services, Biomedical Engineering, and vendors to align application functionality with operational workflows.

The analyst participates in system design, workflow analysis, application configuration, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing support activities. The position supports patient monitoring and medical device integration platforms, as well as specialty surgical applications used across Baptist Health facilities.

This role requires developing technical expertise in medical device integrations and clinical application support while contributing to medium-sized projects under the guidance of senior team members. Based on Baptist Health's Intermediate analyst role, the position is expected to possess knowledge of application systems analysis and may coordinate portions of medium-sized projects under supervision.

Essential Duties:

  • Support and maintain enterprise medical device integration platforms including:

    • Epic Device Integration

    • Capsule Technologies

    • Philips Patient Monitoring

    • Mindray Patient Monitoring

    • Central Monitoring solutions

  • Monitor interface and device integration performance.

  • Investigate and resolve moderate application, interface, and workflow issues.

  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation activities.

  • Work with operational teams to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.

  • Support third-party surgical and procedural applications including:

    • ProVation MD

    • STERIS HexaVue

    • STERIS Instrument Tracking and Sterile Processing workflows

    • TrackCore Tissue Tracking

  • Assist users with workflow optimization and issue resolution.

  • Participate in software upgrades, implementations, and enhancements.

  • Participate in multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Assist with project planning, task completion, documentation, and testing.

  • Coordinate assigned project activities and communicate status updates.

  • Participate in on-call support and issue escalation processes.

  • Create and maintain application documentation.

  • Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing.

  • Support vendor management activities and service reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Clinical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.

  • 2–4 years of healthcare IT, clinical systems, device integration, or application support experience.

  • Experience supporting clinical applications, interfaces, or healthcare technology solutions.

  • Knowledge of healthcare workflows and clinical operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Epic clinical applications or Epic Device Integration.

  • Experience supporting Philips, Mindray, Capsule, or central monitoring technologies.

  • Experience supporting ProVation, STERIS HexaVue, or TrackCore applications.

  • Epic certification or ability to obtain certification as assigned.

  • HL7 interface knowledge.

  • Familiarity with networked medical devices and clinical integration technologies.
