What You’ll Get to Do:

Support work for the release and eventual award of the Professional Mariner Crew Post-Delivery Contract

  • Review the SOW for the PM Crew contract with respect to commercial crew norms and required practices. Participate in weekly or bi weekly Teams meetings to share findings/opinions and work through resolution

  • Review MMSC HM&E / propulsion systems and identify areas / systems which might require additional PM Crew training

  • Provide an estimate for expected professional mariner manning levels. Provide details on crew rotation process

  • Provide support in answering official industry questions after release of draft RFP

  • Provide details on damage control processes for commercial ships and typical commercial damage control organization/structure

  • Review 3M plan with respect to O-Level maintenance and the MMSC maintenance strategy

  • Review PMS 525 WAF/Tag-Out instruction for compatibility with typical commercial mariner practices





You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience working as a licensed civilian mariner

  • Experience performing maintenance on oceangoing vessels

  • Familiar with Military Sealift Command operating requirements and environment

  • USCG Licensed Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Possess or be eligible for DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite

  • Familiarity with U.S. Navy shipbuilding standards, requirements, and regulations

  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization abilities, and a keen attention to detail to ensure timely completion and quality outcomes

  • Highly effective collaborator with a demonstrated ability to work seamlessly within dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • DoD Secret Security Clearance

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$58,000-$115,900
