Overview

AtkinsRéalis is one of the world’s leading providers of professional engineering consulting services with offices across Ireland.

We are seeking a Transport Major Projects Manager for road, rail, public transport, active travel and public realm schemes throughout Ireland. The candidate must be a Chartered Engineer and should have extensive experience in planning and design of major transport projects, ideally including giving evidence at Oral Hearing for EIAR and CPO. The candidate will join our busy transportation team in Ireland, based in our Cork office, with flexible hybrid working available.

Your role

  • The role will involve team building and leadership, mentoring staff, managing planning and design of transport projects throughout Ireland, delivering EIAR and CPO, and preparing and administering construction contracts.
  • The candidate will also be involved in business development activity, including managing client relationships, gathering market intelligence and leading bid proposals for major transport projects.

About you

  • Extensive relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
  • Educated to degree level (Level 8/9).
  • Chartered Engineer.
  • Computer literate and able to work efficiently with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledgeable of relevant design standards and with the ability to transfer this knowledge into practical, buildable and value for money designs.
  • Experience of NEC and Irish Public Works Contracts
  • Experience of design and build projects.
  • Experience in planning and design of transport schemes in Ireland, including feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, statutory processes, procurement processes, contract administration and construction supervision.
  • Full Irish / EU driving licence.
