Project Manager – Application Development

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire application development life cycle, from initial concept through deployment and post-launch support.
  
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QA testers, and stakeholders, to define project scope and objectives.
  
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
  
• Conduct regular status meetings with the project team and stakeholders to provide updates on progress and address any issues or changes in project scope.
  
• Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
  
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, including Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  
• Manage resource allocation and workload distribution to optimize team performance and project outcomes.
  
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between team members, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals and requirements.
  
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future projects.
  
• Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements throughout the project life cycle.
  

Requirements

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in application development or a related field.
  
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project) and methodologies.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
  
• Experience in risk management and mitigation planning.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in software development.
  
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is a plus.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
  
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and front-end development.
  
• Understanding of database management and data integration processes.
  
• Experience in managing remote or distributed teams.
  
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations.
