Job Description

This Epic Client Server Administrator (ECSA) position is responsible for implementing, administering, proactive monitoring, maintaining and enhancing the Microsoft Windows server infrastructure which support day-to-day operations of critical Epic application environments serving Production, Non-production, Reporting, Training and Disaster Recovery to ensure the highest degree of systems performance and availability.

Experience

  • Onsite: Georgia candidates with once-a-week work from home day

    Remote: Candidates from the following states will qualify for remote opportunity - Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, Ohio or Missouri

  • 5 to 8 years related experience supporting EPIC in ECSA capacity role
  • 5 years of experience in application delivery services including Hypervisors (VMWare 6.X, 8.X), Windows Operating systems, Azure Virtual Desktop administration is a plus, Application configuration and Patch Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic ECSA110, MyChart, MyChart Mobile, and EpicCare-Link, ECSA115
  • Associates degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with network administration using Active Directory Group Policy Objects as well as systems administration
  • CCAA
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare setting
  • Epic ECSA101, 102 and 105
  • Epic ECSM
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop environments

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Installs, configures, administers, manages, monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes Epic ECSA Components: BCA-PC, BCA-Web, Cantu, Care-EveryWhere, Care-Link, ECSA Tools, FIPS, Haiku, HyperSpace, HyperSpace-Web, Interconnect, Kuiper, MyChart, MyChart Mobile, PrintService, Relay, Rover, SOAPProxy, Store-Forward, SystemPulse, and WebBlob.
  • Provides extensive troubleshooting in installation and configuration of Windows Operating Systems; Disk Configuration and Installation and Configuration of Active Directory Group Policy; Systems Back-up and Recovery; Windows Performance Tuning and Windows Server troubleshooting.
  • Provides support of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment as needed
  • Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures in AVD environment as needed.
  • Evaluates hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of AVD-related operational procedures and standards with other team members.
  • Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
  • Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned.
  • Provides support for EPIC printing.
  • Deploys virtual servers as needed across environment
  • Manages, supports, and optimizes delivery of applications/software.
  • Maintains a highly available and disaster recovery configuration including monthly testing.
  • Maintains and standardizes AVD images as needed.
  • Patches environments monthly meeting department goals.
  • Builds, implements, and supports virtual desktop infrastructures meeting organization standards.
  • Monitors AVD farm resources and take actions as needed.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Keeps current with relevant technologies that apply to their day to day job.
