Job description

Healthcare Marketing Creative Strategist

Remote | Lifestyle Medical Facility | 30 Hours per Week | $6 per Hour

About the Role

A growing lifestyle medical facility is seeking a Healthcare Marketing Creative Strategist to support its rebranding efforts and strengthen the presentation of its patient-facing content, website, and digital marketing materials.

This role combines creative strategy with hands-on execution. You will help assess the facility's current branding, recommend improvements, generate content ideas, and bring the approved direction to life through Canva, WordPress, patient education materials, and digital content.

This is not a role for someone who only waits for completed design instructions. The ideal candidate can understand the facility's goals, ask thoughtful questions, identify opportunities, explain creative recommendations, and personally produce high-quality materials.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Assessment and Rebranding

  • Review the facility's website, patient materials, visual identity, messaging, and existing marketing content.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the facility's mission, services, target audience, goals, and preferred brand direction.

  • Develop mood boards, messaging options, sample layouts, and creative concepts for review.

  • Apply the approved brand direction consistently across digital and printed materials.

2. Content Strategy and Creative Ideation

  • Generate content ideas based on the facility's services, target patients, brand direction, and marketing priorities.

  • Define the intended audience, key message, purpose, and desired action for each piece of content.

  • Identify unclear messaging, missing information, weak calls to action, and opportunities to improve patient engagement.

  • Develop content concepts for patient education, service promotion, websites, blogs, and social media.

3. Canva Design and Template Development

  • Create and redesign patient handouts, brochures, infographics, presentations, social media graphics, and educational resources.

  • Develop reusable Canva templates that follow consistent typography, spacing, colors, imagery, and layout standards.

  • Organize templates and brand assets so the internal team can easily maintain and update materials.

  • Build efficient Canva workflows that reduce repetitive design work.

4. Microsoft Publisher-to-Canva Migration

  • Review, organize, and prioritize existing Microsoft Publisher documents.

  • Convert Publisher files into editable Canva documents while improving readability and visual consistency.

  • Apply approved branding while preserving accurate clinical and patient information.

  • Establish organized naming, folder, version-control, and approval systems for migrated materials.

5. WordPress Website Support

  • Review the website from a branding, messaging, usability, and patient-content perspective.

  • Update website text, images, graphics, service information, blogs, downloadable resources, and calls to action.

  • Apply approved branding across relevant pages and ensure content displays properly on desktop and mobile devices.

  • Coordinate with technical support when advanced coding or development is required.

6. Patient-Facing Marketing Materials

  • Create clear and engaging materials that help patients understand the facility's services and care options.

  • Improve educational content related to nutrition, lifestyle medicine, weight management, women's health, and other approved services.

  • Use professional, supportive, and patient-friendly language and visuals.

  • Include clear next steps and appropriate calls to action while following the facility's clinical approval process.

7. Social Media and Digital Content

  • Develop graphics, carousels, short-form videos, educational posts, and other brand-aligned digital content.

  • Adapt content to the audience and requirements of each platform.

  • Connect content to actions such as visiting the website, learning about a service, or scheduling an appointment.

  • Repurpose approved content across channels while maintaining consistent messaging.

8. Workflow and Process Improvement

  • Establish an organized workflow for requests, drafts, revisions, approvals, and finalized materials.

  • Maintain a centralized library of templates, brand assets, graphics, and approved content.

  • Develop naming conventions, version-control standards, project trackers, and basic process documentation.

  • Recommend Canva, WordPress, AI-assisted, or approved automation tools that improve efficiency.

9. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout discovery, concept development, approval, and implementation.

  • Ask thoughtful questions before recommending major brand or content changes.

  • Present focused creative options and explain recommendations in clear, nontechnical language.

  • Receive feedback professionally and communicate progress, obstacles, dependencies, and required approvals.

  • Understanding of patient-friendly healthcare communication

  • Basic knowledge of SEO, website analytics, and content performance

  • Experience with Canva Bulk Create, automation tools, or AI-assisted creative workflows
