Job description

Job Summary:

Neumo is seeking an experienced, operationally minded Manager, Business Systems Administration to lead the team responsible for the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of Neumo's Salesforce platform and related business systems.

This role oversees a team of Salesforce administrators and other business system administrators, ensuring the platform reliably supports Sales, Accounting, and Service operations as well as enterprise integrations to other business systems. The Manager partners with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable system solutions, establishes administration standards and governance, and safeguards data integrity, security, and compliance. Balancing hands-on technical leadership with people management, the role develops team capabilities, prioritizes competing demands, and drives adoption of tools and automation that improve business efficiency. The position is accountable for the overall health, performance, and strategic roadmap of the systems under its purview.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Salesforce administrators and other business system administrators, setting priorities, assigning work, and conducting performance management.
  • Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Salesforce platform, including users, roles, profiles, permission sets, security, and data management.
  • Administer and optimize Salesforce functionality supporting Sales, Accounting, and Service operations to align the platform with business processes and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Integration Manager and their team on the design, implementation, and maintenance of third-party and system integrations, ensuring reliable data flow between Salesforce and connected business systems.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and the Process Analyst team to gather requirements, evaluate options, and translate operational needs into scalable system enhancements, with clear hand-offs between process analysis and system administration.
  • Establish and enforce administration standards, governance, change management, and documentation practices across the systems team.
  • Manage the intake, prioritization, and delivery of enhancement requests, projects, and platform release cycles.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and data integrity, proactively resolving issues and implementing preventive controls.
  • Build reports, dashboards, and automation, including flows, validation rules, and approval processes, to deliver actionable insights and improve efficiency.
  • Own the Salesforce roadmap, setting priorities and communicating platform strategy to leadership, and translate business goals into platform investments.
  • Evaluate new platform features, releases, and technologies, recommending adoption strategies that advance the systems roadmap.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Directly supervises the Business Systems Administration team, including Salesforce administrators and other system administrators — hiring, onboarding, training, and day-to-day work assignment.
  • Manages team performance by setting goals, conducting reviews, coaching, and supporting the professional development of team members.
  • Provides functional and technical guidance and leads project teams and cross-functional resources to deliver system initiatives.
  • Manages the daily operations of a specialized team and is accountable for its results, quality, and adherence to standards.
  • Exercises independent judgment on complex technical and operational matters, escalating enterprise-level or cross-departmental decisions as appropriate.
  • Influences system strategy and roadmap decisions, translating broader business objectives into team priorities and deliverables.

  • Demonstrated experience leading or managing a team of administrators or technical staff.
  • Hands-on experience administering and integrating Salesforce with Sales, Accounting, and Service systems.
  • Experience with enterprise system integrations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Expert-level knowledge of Salesforce administration, including configuration, security, data management, Flow automation, and reporting.
