Job description

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll for Gifted Healthcare's clinical workforce. This role plays a key part in ensuring an exceptional employee experience by providing outstanding customer service while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable payroll regulations.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Process accurate and timely payroll for clinical employees
  • Review, audit, and post employee timecards, verifying and reconciling payroll data and resolving discrepancies prior to processing
  • Process payroll adjustments, corrections, reimbursements, and other approved pay changes
  • Generate payroll reports and maintain required documentation
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Escalate complex or sensitive payroll issues as appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with payroll policies, wage and hour laws, and established procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years of payroll processing experience
  • Working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
