Job Description :

This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the US.

We are seeking a skilled SDET to join our software quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will design, execute, and analyze load testing strategies to ensure our applications perform reliably under expected and peak user loads. This role is critical in identifying performance bottlenecks, validating scalability, and ensuring systems meet operational requirements before production release.


Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Tests: Design, build, and maintain robust automated tests for backend services, APIs, and AI enabled systems.
  • Design & Execute Load Tests: Develop and implement load test plans, scenarios, and scripts to simulate real-world user traffic.
  • Performance Monitoring: Use tools such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, or similar to monitor system performance, response times, and resource utilization.
  • Identify & Report Issues: Detect performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and system failures; document findings and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with development, DevOps, and operations to troubleshoot and resolve performance problems.
  • Maintain Test Environments: Set up, configure, and maintain test environments to replicate production-like conditions.
  • Generate Reports: Produce detailed performance reports and dashboards for stakeholders and management.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of performance testing best practices, emerging tools, and industry standards.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in performance testing, load testing, or quality assurance.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in load testing tools (JMeter, BlazeMeter, etc.)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., C# , Type Script, Java, Python) for automation
  • Familiarity with Playwright, Postman, or similar automation testing frameworks
  • Understanding of software development life cycle and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with databases, APIs, and distributed systems
  • Skilled in AI Agents, cross-device features, and user scenarios

Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Extras: Experience with cloud-based load testing, containerization, and microservices architecture  

 

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or high-traffic web applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Passion for improving system performance and user experience.
  • Strong experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer with a focus on Load Testing
  • Interest in leveraging AI‑assisted testing techniques to improve coverage and efficiency

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $87,800 - $120,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
