Mimica

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Services

Every year billions of hours of human creativity are wasted on repetitive work, such as data entry, form completion, and claim processing. At Mimica, we believe drudgery should be left to machines; humans deserve better. That's why we are developing a new paradigm for automation: our AI learns to perform tasks through observation. Our software eliminates the need for teams of developers to explicitly program every action users perform, saving months of manual effort and hundreds of thousands of pounds in costs. We flip the traditional paradigm and make automation accessible to everyone. Imagine your computer learning to take care of your work for you. That's the future we're building.

Job description

What we are building

Mimica's mission is to empower enterprises, teams, and individuals to reclaim their most precious resource — time and work more efficiently, with greater purpose and impact.

Our AI-powered task mining observes employee actions across the desktop and categorizes them into detailed process maps. Mimica’s process intelligence highlights inefficiencies, prioritizes improvements based on ROI, recommends the optimal technology for automation (RPA, intelligent document processing, GenAI), and provides a blueprint for building new automations and transforming work.

Your mission

Mimica is growing rapidly, and we’re expanding our IT Operations capability to ensure our global team has a secure, seamless, and scalable technology experience as we scale.

As our second IT Ops Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how IT works at Mimica, not simply maintain it. You’ll improve the systems and processes that keep teams productive, connected, and secure, while providing support to colleagues worldwide.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys combining operational excellence with problem-solving and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with Platform, Security, and Delivery teams, helping build the foundations that allow Mimica to grow confidently and enable every employee to do their best work.

Part of your day-to-day

  • Administer and optimize core IT and collaboration tools including JumpCloud, GSuite, Slack, Notion and Remote, ensuring secure and seamless access for globally distributed teams.

  • Manage company-issued laptops and other devices, maintaining OS configuration and compliance with IT and InfoSec policies.

  • Lead and continuously improve onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring timely provisioning and deprovisioning of access and IT assets across cloud and SaaS environments.

  • Own identity and access management (IAM), role-based access control (RBAC), and conduct periodic access reviews to meet evolving security requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day IT issues—including access permissions and cloud networking operations (e.g., VPCs, firewalls, routing rules, IAM configurations)—with a focus on minimizing downtime for business-critical teams.

  • Participate in platform and tooling rollouts, contributing to implementation, testing, and support of new IT systems and policies.

  • Develop and maintain clear internal documentation of IT processes, troubleshooting guides, and onboarding materials to scale knowledge sharing and reduce dependency.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Platform, Security, and Delivery teams to identify and execute automation opportunities (e.g. via Terraform or similar IaC tools).

  • Approach support and project work with a service-oriented mindset, taking initiative to streamline workflows and preempt recurring issues.

What you will bring

  • Experience supporting and configuring cloud-based IT environments, especially SaaS tools and Google Workspace.

  • Hands-on experience with access management and IAM configurations across cloud platforms (GCP preferred).

  • Understanding of basic to intermediate network operations—especially in the context of cloud networking (e.g., GCP VPCs, IAM roles, routing rules).

  • Clear, concise communicator—comfortable collaborating across global teams and explaining technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Service-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize and resolve requests that impact business-critical teams.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a methodical, self-directed troubleshooting approach.

Bonus

  • Deep expertise with Windows or Mac OS.

  • Experience with IaC solutions - Terraform, Cloud formation

  • Familiarity with endpoint security and basic InfoSec hygiene in a cloud-native environment.
