We're hiring a hands-on Full Stack Lead Developer to build AI-powered software for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
This is a genuine senior technical role, combining software architecture with hands-on development. You'll spend the majority of your time designing systems, writing production code, reviewing pull requests, solving complex engineering problems, and helping establish engineering best practices.
AI is central to how we build software. You'll play a key role in continuously evolving AI-assisted engineering workflows, agentic development practices, reusable prompts, shared AI knowledge, and development automation. We expect AI to accelerate engineering - not replace engineering judgement.
This role suits someone who enjoys solving difficult technical challenges, leading through technical excellence, and building high-quality software that customers rely on every day.
What You'll Do
- Design and build production-quality software across our full technology stack, primarily using C#, .NET, TypeScript and React.
- Take ownership of architecture decisions, technical design, code quality, and long-term maintainability.
- Lead the adoption and evolution of AI-assisted software development, including agentic workflows, AI coding assistants, reusable prompts, and engineering best practices.
- Continuously improve engineering productivity through AI while maintaining exceptional standards for quality, testing, and maintainability.
- Review pull requests, mentor other developers through technical leadership, and help establish engineering standards across the team.
- Work closely with Product and Design to translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Identify technical debt early and continuously improve system performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Participate in architecture discussions and make pragmatic technical decisions that balance delivery speed with long-term sustainability.
- Help improve CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and engineering automation.
- Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on ownership, continuous learning, and continuous delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Significant commercial experience building modern full-stack applications.
- Expert-level C# and .NET development experience.
- Strong TypeScript experience, ideally with React.
- Experience designing scalable backend APIs and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience working in an AI-first engineering environment.
- Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar agentic development tools.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, clean code, testing, and software craftsmanship.
- Experience reviewing code and mentoring other developers through technical leadership rather than formal people management.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and product managers.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities evolve quickly.
- A proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
Desirable Experience
You'll stand out if you also have experience with one or more of the following:
- AI agents, MCP servers, autonomous workflows, or LLM orchestration.
- Interactive 3D web technologies such as Three.js, WebGL, or WebAssembly.
- Rust and the Bevy game engine.
- CAD, BIM, digital construction, or building design software.
- AWS, Infrastructure as Code, Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
- Experience building developer tooling or internal engineering platforms.
- Working directly with customers to understand technical requirements and shape product direction.
