Main Responsibilites:

  • He/she will handle designing new and existing embedded software controls for Engine Controls.
  • This role requires a good understanding of Embedded Software Technology and Strong Software Development Skills.
  • Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement by proving continuous, structured feedback that promotes team growth and performance. 
  • Work with the team as software developer with constant communication with Software Supervisor, Software Manager, Product Owner, Delivery Leads and other Software Developers using Agile Methodology.  
  • Participate in requirements capture, analysis, software design, implementation, debugging, hardware integration, verification, validation, and documentation activities.
  • Manage personal workload effectively, driving efficiency improvements and contributing feedback to the team.
  • Monitor and understand team performance metrics. Manage assigned work to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet customer expectations.
  • Participate in Agile meetings such as Sprint planning, Stand ups, Retrospectives, etc.

 

What Skills You Need:

  • Experience using traditional and state-of-the-art software development tools and methodologies, including: 
    • Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) 
    • Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) 
    • C and C++ development 
    • Python 
  • Good understanding of Embedded Software Technology and Software Development skills. 
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools for engineering problem solving and decision making. 
  • Experience working with analog/digital electronics. 
  • Experience with requirements analysis, software design, implementation, verification, validation, and documentation. 
  • Effective communication skills for technical discussions, conflict resolution, meetings, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and overcome technical roadblocks. 
  • Ability to work effectively within Agile software development environments. 
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated. 

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL. 
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence concepts and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. 
  • Experience developing software tools, automation scripts, or data analysis solutions using Python. 
  • Familiarity with backend software development concepts such as APIs, web services, and database integration. 
  • Basic knowledge of frontend technologies and user interface development. 
  • Experience with Software Real-Time Operating Systems.  
  • Experience with source code management tools such as Git or SVN. 
  • Knowledge of CAN, J1939, or other communication protocols. 
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Visual Studio. 
  • Experience in engine controls, powertrain systems, or off-highway vehicle applications.

Education:

  • B.S. Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Digital Systems, and Robotics Engineering or similar.
