Job description

Develop, maintain, and cultivate productive relationships with providers, retail chains, strategic partners, and their staff. Ensure providers’ understanding of how the company can maximize the growth of their practice. Educate providers on the company and its initiatives, leveraging team knowledge and resources. Manage assigned region, working with others to ensure support of the department.

Establish relationships and become an expert on plans, programs, and products

Build relationships that result in positive adoption, achievement of Vision Care program targets, and support of strategic initiatives

Exercise critical thinking and analytical skills in the initial entry and maintenance of provider data, ensuring the integrity of all shared provider information

Use independent judgment to resolve complex issues and escalations, coordinating with internal and external business partners when needed

Responsible for provider data, ensuring all business partners have access to high-quality and accurate information

Negotiate and manage special provider arrangements based on geographic patient access considerations, business needs, and client requests

Analyze practice structure and documents submitted by providers in support of their practice ownership information

Determine document routing based on analysis

Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve network, retail, and other non-traditional provider issues

Escalate issues to the appropriate business areas and drive solutions when applicable

Gather and review client/provider information to determine network composition that ensures client (performance guarantee) needs are met

Compose professional and concise correspondence to providers, retail chains, strategic partners, clients, office staff, and governmental agencies

Act as communication focal point for critical provider outreach during natural disaster relief efforts, activity recruitment, and surveys

Demonstrate a broad knowledge of the organization's strategic direction to achieve growth objectives and operational goals

Act as an internal resource for business partners

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or other related area or equivalent experience

2+ years of experience in a health care environment or customer/client services

Demonstrated professionalism and leadership in dealing with situations involving controversy and conflict, experience handling and resolving escalated issues

Demonstrated advanced communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills

Experience working directly with providers and staff on policies and procedures, resolving complex issues

Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties

Proven ability to balance provider needs with corporate objectives

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFM)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFM), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions. For more information regarding VSP Vision benefits, please click here. 

Salary Ranges: $58,656.00 - $92,328.00
