Senior Staff Systems Design Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Staff Systems Design Engineer for a contract position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in Holtsville, NY. This is a 5+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based systems leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and agentic AI platform offerings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting robust and scalable solutions, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and ensuring security and compliance. This position involves mentorship, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and staying current with the latest cloud technologies to help the organization leverage the full potential of its cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design robust and scalable architectures on GCP to support the organization's applications and services, including understanding business requirements and complex, multi-cloud networking
• Lead efforts to provide agentic AI platform services to ensure the ability to scale and meet evolving automation needs
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of cloud systems to ensure optimal resource utilization, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) in cloud environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and security teams, to ensure alignment on architecture decisions and implementation strategies
• Document design decisions, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and future troubleshooting
• Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in cloud computing, especially related to GCP

Primary Requirements:

• Proven experience architecting and designing robust and scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience leading efforts to provide agentic AI platform services
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager
• Experience with performance and cost optimization of cloud systems
• Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) in cloud environments
• Excellent collaboration and documentation skills

Pay range: $82.73 - $92.73 per hour
