Regional Field Sales Engineer - Northeast US

 

Location: Northeast US (within commuting distance of a major airport)

What you will be doing:

 

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting territories in the Northeast including ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, MI, OH, PA, DE, and WV with effort to promote and sell ASSA ABLOY electromechanical (EM) and electronic access control (EAC) products and solutions in team-selling environments. Products include ASSA ABLOY Wi-Fi locks, PoE locks, Integrated Wire locks, Electric strikes, and Aperio wireless solutions. You will be the “go-to” subject matter expert, competent in the applications, technology, installation, and deployment of all ASSA ABLOY EM and EAC product/system/solution offerings. Key areas you will contribute to in the role include:

 

  • Certify integrators’ sales, installation, and support capabilities through formal hands-on product training, including ongoing assessments and development of their skills.
  • Train and support the channel, influencers, and other internal personnel.
  • Facilitate deployments of product test beds at certified integrator’s facilities, trial installations at select end user locations, and initial installations with live integration into EAC systems.
  • Collaborate and develop plans for increasing sales in the assigned territories.
  • Develop wiring diagrams and represent ASSA ABLOY in installation meetings with electrical contractors and other stakeholders, conduct site surveys and audits with integrators, and check on implemented solutions.
  • Strategize with your team to win projects in both new construction and retrofit opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot EM and EAC product-related issues in collaboration with Authorized Channel and Certified Integrator Partners.

  • Ability to travel up to 80% within the assigned territories.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities both in a home office environment or while traveling.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.

 

Education and/or experience:

 

  • Your background includes a College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar), or have work experience commensurate with, minimum high school/GED diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EM hardware/EAC.
  • Recommended 2 – 3 years of industry-related experience in field sales with EM/EAC products and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
  • Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus.

 

ASSA ABLOY offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including bonus, a 401(k) plan, education assistance, company car, and an environment that reflects our commitment to our employees. The wage range for this role is $90K - $110K and considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business requirements, geographic location and other business and organizational needs. This salary range is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. ASSA ABLOY conducts regular review of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
