Job Title

Information Technology Platform Administrator II

Job Summary

The Information Technology (IT) Platform Administrator supports the technical needs of the various lines of business and departments within the solution delivery area using analytical, problem solving, planning, and organization skills.  This position takes ownership of assigned systems and acts as the technical liaison between IT and the business area(s) on IT projects and initiatives.  They support, test, troubleshoot and document changes within multiple solution delivery application platforms.

Essential Functions

Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Independently performs system configuration on assigned systems
  • Assists with product ownership, stability, functionality, growth, and planning
  • Assists with monitoring system health and managing platform upgrades to the development, test, and production environments
  • Recommends and contributes to development of best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining documentation related to solution delivery applications
  • Identifies opportunities and implements processes improvements for solution delivery applications
  • works closely with vendors for solution delivery support needs
  • Acts as a liaison to various stakeholders on underlying solution delivery technologies
  • Possess and organizational understanding across all lines of business and applies this understanding to each project, problem, or assigned task
  • Provides technical expertise in project requirements, solution design, and testing
  • Responsible for scheduled reporting and maintenance tasks
  • Helps coordinate testing and validation of changes to the system
  • Applies problem solving and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot technical production issues
  • Documents and tests modifications to new or existing applications
  • Determines and assists with implementation best solutions to resolve production issues in a timely manner
  • Develops and continually improves the organization's systems and business processes
  • Creates documentation in each instance to ensure consistency in plans and communications
  • Under guidance, carries out necessary work with regards to incidents, changes, problems, requests, work orders, etc.
  • Monitors systems and applications as well as tracking and trending
  • Recommends improvements regarding the platform, processes, and reporting
  • Collaborates with architecture, other IT areas, and with external customers as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field and 4 years' related work experience OR a combination of education and equivalent work experience as determined by HR
  • Intermediate understanding of IT systems, platforms and data flow
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to provide night and weekend coverage

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
  • 3 years' technical troubleshooting and documenting of production/project related issues
  • Ability to manage and communicate with various stakeholders
  • Ability to direct and maintain a productive and conducive working environment
  • Ability to coordinate activities among co-workers, vendors and peers
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Healthcare and/or Medicare experience
  • Advanced organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to perform IT related job functions across multiple projects and tasks at one time
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities across multiple departments

Below is the salary range for potential new hires.

Salary Range: The pay range for this position is $59,937.84 – $90,695.98 yearly, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
