Summary

Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a CVO Business System Analyst to join our team! This is a remote work position that requires residency in KY or IN.

Supports the Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO) provider data management system and related compliance activities for Baptist Health System for CVO and affiliated facilities. Responsible for data maintenance to support the system-wide credentialing and primary source verification for physicians, advanced practice providers and allied health professionals ensuring accurate, complete and timely collection and disposition of information. Ensures regulatory and accreditation compliance requirements are met. Functions as a Provider Data Management project team member, responsible for the managing the Data Governance standards ensuring compliance with data element definitions and linkage between source systems to support the credentialing process within the Baptist Health facilities and entities. Coordinates and conducts primary source verification of provider expirables (i.e. licenses, DEA’s, board certifications, etc.) ensuring integration of centralized verification services to meet system, legal and regulatory requirements. Works with CVO and facility MSO staff to meet the short- and long-term goals that impact the enterprise verification processes, report development and standardization of provider data within source systems and maintains compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards while supporting the strategic initiatives and direction of the organization.

Essential Duties:

  • Manages daily database operations of the Baptist Health Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO), providing credentialing and primary source verification for the Medical Staff Offices (MSO) within each of the Baptist Health hospitals including Baptist Health physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. 

  • Works with Baptist Health CVO and MSO managers, facility hospital managers, directors, chief medical officers, business managers within the various functional Baptist Health departments in regard to physician and provider data (i. e. Human Resources, Patient Accounts, Finance, Medical Staff Offices, Registration, Pharmacy, Lab and Ancillary departments) to support system-wide reporting needs related to provider data.

  • Develops database processes to streamline and improve service and efficiencies for onboarding and credentialing Baptist Health physicians, advanced practice professionals, and allied health staff, while improving provider satisfaction. Applies the principles of continuous quality improvement in the delivery of services through assessment and monitoring of ECHO/CredentialStream processes and systems including analysis of trends with implementation of changes as required.

  • Serves as Provider Data Governance project team member, responsible for the maintenance of established Baptist Health standard data element definitions and linkage between source systems. Partners closely with the Data Governance Committee, EPIC Project Team, Hospital CMO’S, Presidents, and local facility leadership (Medical Staff Services, Department Directors and Managers).

  • Develops and implements database reports and conducts audits to ensure continuous compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards, i. e., TJC, NCQA, HFAP/ACHC, DNV, AAAHC, etc.  Handles activities to meet CVO departmental policies as well as requirements of the facilities’ medical staff bylaws and credentialing policies. Ensures the OPPE and FPPE modules within ECHO/CredentialStream provider database support the ongoing professional practice evaluation and enhance the physician reporting activities required at the hospital level by accreditation and regulatory agencies.
