Role Overview
- Location: Remote (Mexico)
- Schedule: 1st Shift (Core Business Hours); potential to change shift in the future based on operational needs
- Salary: 37,000 MXN monthly
As a Systems Engineer II, you will support critical infrastructure services, administer cloud and on-premises environments, and provide technical expertise to ensure systems remain secure, stable, and efficient.
Your Mission as a Systems Engineer II
- Monitor server performance to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably while troubleshooting issues that arise.
- Create and maintain server configuration standards and ensure adherence across environments.
- Install, configure, update, and remove server software and applications as needed.
- Monitor server storage capacity and recommend improvements to support infrastructure growth.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to improve system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain network security measures that protect systems, services, and data.
- Configure and maintain network settings, including IP addressing, DNS, and routing protocols.
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Provide technical support to users experiencing issues with company computer systems and applications.
- Assist with or oversee hardware installations and provide support for minor equipment repairs.
- Support process improvements and operational initiatives that enhance service quality and efficiency.
Systems & Infrastructure Administration
The Systems Engineer II is responsible for maintaining and supporting core infrastructure technologies while partnering with internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
- Administer and support Windows Server environments and related infrastructure technologies.
- Perform proactive monitoring and maintenance of systems and network infrastructure.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requirements.
- Support cloud-based technologies, hybrid infrastructure environments, and Microsoft platforms.
- Maintain technical documentation, server standards, and operational procedures.
- Participate in troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis activities.
- Ensure systems align with organizational security standards and best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to Level I Engineers when needed.
What You Bring to the Team
Education & Certifications
Successful Systems Engineer II candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- MCSE certification required.

Experience & Skills
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in network administration, systems administration, or infrastructure support.
- Experience administering and supporting Windows Server environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Administration and Microsoft 365 Administration.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, IP addressing, and routing protocols.
- Experience monitoring server performance, storage utilization, and infrastructure health.
- Knowledge of security patch management and infrastructure security best practices.
- Experience providing technical support and troubleshooting complex user and system issues.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and configuration standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation, professional publications, and operational procedures.
- English proficiency required for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
