Job description

The role is responsible for owning, managing, and continuously improving defined operational processes across systems, product, invoicing, and data management activities. The successful candidate will ensure efficient, scalable, and controlled workflows that support Sage's operational data governance framework while enabling seamless business and sales operations. This position plays a key role in driving process excellence, operational efficiency, data integrity, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own, manage, and optimize operational processes related to product setup, maintenance, and change management, establishing clear performance measures and service standards.

  • Translate business requirements, challenges, and opportunities into structured operational solutions that support product, pricing, invoicing, and master data management.

  • Ensure operational processes are scalable, compliant, well-controlled, and aligned with business objectives and governance requirements.

  • Lead and deliver operational improvements and process changes from identification through implementation and post-deployment review.

  • Investigate and diagnose root causes across systems, data, and operational processes to maintain business continuity and support sales operations.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth operational delivery and alignment across the wider business.

  • Support business transformation, transition initiatives, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and other operational projects as required.

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance process documentation, ensuring procedures remain accurate and reflect evolving business requirements.

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to junior team members to support team capability development.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of relevant business applications, systems, and operational workflows to effectively support business needs.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, process simplification, and the adoption of AI-enabled solutions to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Skills, Knowledge & Competencies

Functional Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, and databases to analyze data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with business systems such as A2R, SMART, or similar enterprise applications is desirable but not essential.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and operational process management principles.

  • High attention to detail with exceptional levels of accuracy and consistency.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to assess issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Strong written, verbal, and virtual communication skills.

  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent stakeholder management and service delivery skills.
