Job description

Overview:

The Mortgage Product Manager leads the strategy, development, and performance of the mortgage product portfolio. This role manages the full product lifecycle—from market research and concept development to implementation and optimization—while ensuring compliance and competitive positioning. The position requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and deep knowledge of mortgage products and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of the mortgage product portfolio, ensuring competitive positioning and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and evaluate emerging trends to identify new product opportunities and enhancements.
  • Build business cases for new or revised products, including market sizing, revenue potential, and profitability analysis.
  • Prepare and present product reviews and recommendations to management.
  • Administer and manage all product and pricing configurations within Optimal Blue, ensuring timely updates, accuracy, and coordination with Secondary Marketing and Technology teams.
  • Implement product changes, investor updates, pricing strategies, and margin adjustments in alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze product performance, including profitability, volumes, revenues, costs, and competitive positioning; support annual budgeting processes.
  • Develop and maintain credit documentation, product plans, and related materials in partnership with mortgage technology teams.
  • Ensure all product offerings, campaigns, and processes comply with legal requirements, internal policies, ethical standards, and quality controls.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, external vendors, investors, and internal business partners to support product execution and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in required compliance training and contribute to quality, control, and business performance objectives.

Requirements For Success:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in work experience
    • Four or more years’ experience in mortgage banking
    • Knowledge of mortgage products, guidelines, regulations, compliance and due diligence practices
    • Functional experience in marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, or analytics
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage changing priorities both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
    • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

 

  • Preferred Skills:
    • Project Management experience
    • Advanced product knowledge of non-agency/non QM, agency conventional, FHA, VA and USDA

 

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background & credit check
  • This is a full-time, non-remote position

Pay Range: USD $49,972.00 - USD $76,958.00 /Yr.
