Overview

The SE Operations Analyst plays a key role in supporting the productivity, visibility, and operational integrity of the Sales Engineering (SE) organization. This role is a great fit for someone with strong Salesforce (SFDC) and reporting skills who also brings some hands-on experience with AI tools — and who’s excited to keep building those AI skills as we apply them to real operational and reporting work.

The analyst will initially focus primarily on maintaining and enhancing SE Power BI dashboards, ensuring reporting accuracy, usability, and alignment with requirements defined by SE leadership and the SalesOps Power BI team. In addition, this role provides hands-on support for Salesforce (SFDC) — including our SFDC-based SE toolset (Vivun) — and various SE operational workflows including quota-related data preparation. This role acts as the first line of support for day-to-day SFDC (including our Vivun toolset) troubleshooting and change requests, escalating complex or strategic issues to the SE Systems & Enablement lead.

This is a collaborative, execution-focused role — you’ll build on the SFDC and reporting processes already in place, help extend our AI-enabled workflows, and contribute directly to the SFDC/Vivun operations work the team has already started.

What You Will Do

Data Visualization & Reporting

  • Maintain and enhance existing Power BI dashboards and datasets that support SE performance metrics, activity reporting, and leadership visibility.

  • Implement updates and improvements based on direction from SE leadership and in alignment with SalesOps reporting standards.

  • Validate data sources and ensure data integrity across recurring and ad hoc reports.

  • Support simple analyses (e.g., trends, productivity indicators, POC volume, regional comparisons) to help SE leaders understand operational patterns.

  • Assist with preparation of data inputs used for SE quota planning and annual planning cycles.

Systems & Process Support

  • Own first-line triage, logging, and coordination of Salesforce (SFDC) change requests and troubleshooting (including our Vivun toolset — e.g., access issues, field/data problems) for the SE team, escalating complex or strategic changes to the SE Systems & Enablement lead.

  • Support basic SFDC/Vivun administration tasks, such as data hygiene, user support, and reporting needs.

  • Document business requirements for small system enhancements and collaborate with SalesOps or IT on implementation steps.

  • Maintain and update process documentation for SE operational workflows and tools.

  • Serve as first-line responder for day-to-day SFDC (including our Vivun toolset) usage questions from the SE team, building and maintaining a self-service FAQ/knowledge base to reduce repeat requests over time.

  • Support the SE Systems & Enablement lead by handling routine reactive support work directly, freeing senior team members to focus on strategic initiatives and escalated issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the SalesOps Power BI team to ensure SE dashboards follow established data models, definitions, and governance.

  • Collaborate with SE managers to understand reporting needs and translate them into defined dashboard updates or data improvement tasks.

  • Partner with SalesOps, IT, and other stakeholders on small projects that improve SE operational efficiency or data quality.

AI & Future Systems — A Growth Area for This Role

  • Apply AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, workflow automation) to streamline reporting, ticket triage, and documentation where appropriate.

  • Contribute to early data preparation and exploratory reporting in Snowflake as part of the team’s planned internal system updates.

  • Support integration between Salesforce, Snowflake, and Power BI as the SE data platform evolves.

What You Will Bring

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, operations, or business systems support.

  • Some hands-on experience with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, workflow automation), and genuine interest in continuing to build AI skills and apply them to reporting and operational work.

  • Practical hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including building dashboards, measures, and basic data modeling.

  • Hands-on familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) data structures and reporting concepts, with comfort making or coordinating basic configuration changes (e.g., fields, layouts, list views).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate data into simple explanations.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with guidance and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Salesforce managed-package tools (e.g., Vivun), Snowflake, Tableau, or similar reporting/data-platform tools.

  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Power Query, or DAX.

  • Experience supporting Sales Engineering, Sales Operations, or similar GTM organizations.

  • Understanding of CRM data flows or opportunity lifecycle concepts.

  • Interest in or exposure to building internal systems/tools — this role may contribute to an internal platform that eventually replaces our current SFDC add-on (Vivun).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.

Core Attributes

  • Experienced professional who identifies and completes complex assignments with direct impact on the function or business unit.

  • Receives little guidance on work; is guided by the objectives of the project or ongoing assignments; plans own work priorities on a regular basis.

  • Builds productive relationships and contributes to team effectiveness through reliable execution.

  • Operates with growing autonomy on recurring troubleshooting, tickets, and reporting tasks, escalating novel, complex, or strategic issues to the SE Systems & Enablement lead.
