Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Lead Project Manager to join our program supporting the biomedical research community for our customer with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee specific projects within the NHLBI IT support services program.
  • Ensure projects are planned, managed, monitored, and completed in accordance with NHLBI, NIH, HHS, and federal government policies and regulations.
  • Lead project teams through project lifecycles while adhering to established schedules, scope, costs, and risk management.
  • Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders and provide updates on project milestones, issues, and risks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and at least five years of experience managing multiple and simultaneous IT projects involving infrastructure, service desk, and cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring junior project managers.
  • Must be proficient in Agile, Kanban/Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies and experienced with project management tools like Atlassian Jira, MS Project, and Smartsheet.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • PMP or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with NIH, government, or biomedical research setting

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
