This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accountant with 2-3 years' experience who enjoys working with data, building relationships with stakeholders, and partnering with the business to drive financial outcomes. About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Accounting & Controls, you'll work closely with both Finance and Operations teams to support financial reporting, governance, and business performance across Team Global Express. This role offers broad exposure across the business, making it an ideal stepping stone for someone looking to build their commercial finance and business partnering experience
You'll gain valuable insight into Australia's freight and logistics industry while developing your technical accounting and stakeholder management capabilities.
What You'll Do
Prepare and collate financial data to support month-end reporting and journal processing.
Work with offshore finance teams to ensure journals are accurately posted and reconciled.
Partner with operational leaders to ensure invoices, accruals, and financial transactions are processed accurately and on time.
Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and commentary for business stakeholders.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A activities.
Help maintain strong financial controls and governance processes.
Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Shared Services teams.
What You'll Bring
2-3 years' experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a similar finance role.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
Progress towards or completion of CA or CPA qualifications is highly regarded.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Confidence working with large volumes of financial data.
Knowledge of balance sheets
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships across a diverse business.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Experience with large ERP systems - nice to have
Previous experience in freight, logistics, transport, or a high-volume operational environment will be highly regarded.
A proactive approach and willingness to get into the detail when needed.
