Regional Sales Manager

Location: US Remote 

Salary Range: 137,000.00 to 154,000.00

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing the regional Lubrication sales organization to achieve profitable growth, market share expansion, and customer satisfaction objectives. This role is accountable for the execution of sales strategies, talent development, forecasting accuracy, and operational excellence across the assigned territory.

The Regional Sales Manager will drive growth through both direct customer engagement and effective leadership of regional sales employees. The position requires strong commercial leadership, strategic thinking, technical sales understanding, and the ability to build high-performing teams focused on delivering sustainable results.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership
    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve annual sales and profitability targets.
    • Establish clear performance expectations, objectives, and development plans for direct reports.
    • Conduct regular sales reviews, pipeline reviews, and performance discussions.
    • Drive accountability for customer acquisition, retention, and profitable growth.
    • Foster a high-performance culture focused on customer value, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

 

  • Business Growth and Strategy
    • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
    • Identify growth opportunities within key industries, market segments, and strategic accounts.
    • Drive expansion of lubrication products, systems, services, and reliability solutions.
    • Increase market penetration and strengthen SKF, Alemite, and Lincoln brand awareness throughout the region.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to adapt commercial strategies.

 

  • Customer and Market Development
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
    • Participate in executive-level customer meetings and negotiations.
    • Support major sales opportunities and key account initiatives.
    • Ensure effective customer engagement throughout the sales cycle.
    • Collaborate with customer service, engineering, product management, and operations teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

 

  • Sales Operations and Forecasting
    • Ensure accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and opportunity tracking through CRM tools.
    • Review sales funnel health and implement actions to improve conversion rates.
    • Lead annual business planning and budgeting processes for the region.
    • Manage pricing, profitability, and commercial performance within established guidelines.
    • Deliver reliable sales forecasts and business insights to leadership.

 

  • Talent Development
    • Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and career development opportunities.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning activities.
    • Facilitate sales training and best-practice sharing across the team.

 

  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Customer Support teams.
    • Support implementation of new products, services, and strategic initiatives.
    • Champion continuous improvement and organizational change initiatives.

Qualifications

 

  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience required.

 

  • Experience
    • 7–10+ years of progressive industrial sales experience.
    • 3–5+ years of sales leadership experience managing direct reports.
    • Experience in lubrication systems, auto/truck repair facility tools/equipment sales, industrial products, AWD/vehicle aftermarket wholesale sales, reliability solutions, maintenance technologies, or related sectors preferred.
    • Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets.
    • Experience leading geographically dispersed sales teams.
