Job description

Title: Programmer Analyst – Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Job Location: Montreal, QC
Duration: 5 Months
Pay Rate: $65/hr - $70/hr
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
Work Mode: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite
Languages (spoken and written): French


The department responsible for managing the client's Linux infrastructure oversees Java middleware running on the organization's UNIX and Linux platforms. The team's mission is to build new solutions that support business solution teams while maintaining and developing automation for both new and existing business solutions.

As an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Programmer Analyst, you will participate in designing, automating, administering, and maintaining middleware solutions on Linux platforms to meet the organization's business needs.

Key Responsibilities

As an IaC Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing, automating, and maintaining middleware solutions on Linux platforms to support business solution teams.
  • Designing and improving CI/CD delivery pipelines and middleware infrastructure pipelines.
  • Developing scripts, roles, and playbooks to automate the creation, configuration, and administration of middleware environments (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, etc.).
  • Working closely with business units and technical teams by participating in analysis, clarifying technical requirements, and contributing to problem resolution.
  • Contributing to the development of new features and the continuous improvement of existing tools and processes.
  • Maintaining and optimizing middleware environments through automation while following established standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development concepts and practices.
  • Knowledge of Java middleware on Linux, including WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss, and similar technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with the following tools:
    • Ansible
    • Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
    • Terraform
    • VMware vRealize Automation (vRA)
    • GitHub Actions
    • Jenkins
  • Proficiency in French is required.

La direction en charge de la gestion des infrastructures Linux de notre client gère les intergiciels java reposant sur les infrastructures UNIX et Linux de ce dernier. L’équipe a comme mission de bâtir de nouvelles solutions en support aux équipes de solutions d’affaires ainsi que de maintenir et développer des automatismes pour des solutions d’affaires (nouvelles ou existantes). En tant qu’analyste-programmeur ou analyste-programmeuse, IaC, vous participez à concevoir, automatiser, administrer et maintenir les solutions middleware sur plateforme Linux pour répondre aux besoins de l’organisation.

Responsabilités principales
À titre d'Analyste-programmeur ou analyste-programmeuse, IaC, vous serez amené(e) à :
  • Développer, automatiser et maintenir des solutions middleware sur plateformes Linux afin de soutenir les équipes de solutions d’affaires.
  • Concevoir et améliorer les pipelines de livraison CI/CD et d’infrastructure middleware.
  • Développer des scripts, rôles et playbooks pour automatiser la création, la configuration et l’administration d’environnements middleware (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, etc.).
  • Collaborer étroitement avec les secteurs d’affaires et les équipes techniques, en participant aux analyses, en clarifiant les besoins techniques et en contribuant à la résolution de problèmes.
  • Contribuer au développement de nouvelles fonctionnalités et à l’amélioration continue des outils et processus existants.
  • Maintenir et optimiser les environnements middleware via l’automatisation, en respectant les normes et bonnes pratiques.

Exigences et qualifications requises
  • Baccalauréat dans une discipline appropriée
  • Un minimum de quatre ans d’expérience pertinente. Veuillez noter que d’autres combinaisons de formation et d’expérience pertinentes pourraient être considérées
  • Expérience en infrastructure as code (IaC) et en pipelines CI/CD
  • Maîtrise des concepts et pratiques de développement agile
  • Connaissances des middlewares java linux (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss, etc.).
  • Connaissance pratique des outils : Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Terraform, VRA, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
  • Connaissance du français nécessaire
