Job description

Overview:

The Product Manager, Digital Commerce (GTM) owns Rain Bird’s digital commerce roadmap, priorities, customer experience, and commercial execution end to end, and serves as the primary driver of revenue, growth, and business results. Digital Commerce is where customers research, purchase, subscribe, and engage with Rain Bird worldwide. This is a build role focused on growth: expanding into new markets, products, and capabilities advancing global commerce, payment processing, and subscription services and delivering a best-in-class headless (composable) commerce ecosystem that takes Rain Bird’s commerce to new levels.

We’re looking for a strategic product leader who thinks like an owner, drives execution, simplifies complexity, and successfully brings new digital commerce capabilities to market. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role: you carry your own weight and hold cross-functional partners accountable to deliver theirs moving with urgency rather than waiting on others. Success requires aligning market, product, channel, customer, and operational priorities to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes, with a clear path toward broader Digital Commerce leadership.

This position is open to candidates based in Tucson, AZ, with priority given to local candidates. Remote U.S. candidates will also be considered.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and lead the Digital Commerce roadmap and serve as the primary driver of revenue and commercial results prioritizing initiatives by customer value, commercial impact, and strategic objectives, and driving profitable growth by expanding into new markets and capabilities from concept through launch and growth.
  • Partner horizontally across the business to identify eCommerce needs and champion the “art of the possible” upleveling how product units understand and use digital commerce to meet our business objectives.
  • Own the end-to-end customer journey from purchase through fulfillment, delivery, and post-purchase service—improving conversion, average order value, retention, and lifetime value while aligning cross-functionally and with external partners.
  • Lead go-to-market for digital commerce initiatives from planning through launch and post-launch rolling up your sleeves to define the value proposition, target customer, channel, and success metrics, removing obstacles, and deciding when to scale, iterate, or reposition.
  • Validate opportunities through customer insights, competitive intelligence, analytics, experimentation, and emerging technologies including AI and conduct regular “walk the floor” reviews of the live site to sharpen the visitor experience.
  • Play an integral, hands-on role in building the new eCommerce platform leading vendor selection and management, defining requirements, and validating integrations across our digital ecosystem, including subscription commerce, Global-e, and ERP.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with an emphasis in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of Product Management, Digital Commerce, eCommerce, digital product, or related business leadership experience.
  • Experience developing digital commerce strategy, roadmaps, and go-to-market/launch plans that turn customer needs and analytics into measurable revenue and business outcomes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Marketing, IT, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Distribution, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical, influencing, leadership, presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience building on commerce platforms, middleware/integration, and ERP—personally defining requirements and validating end-to-end processes before release.
  • Strong data-analytics skills using web/commerce analytics and tools like Power BI to monitor performance, run experiments, and turn data into decisions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • Experience with headless (composable) commerce and multi-system commerce architecture.
  • Direct experience with payments and merchant-of-record (MoR) models and cross-border commerce (e.g., Global-e).
  • Hands-on subscription-commerce experience able to stand up subscriptions from scratch and out-think the product managers it supports.
